Panera Bread has a need for a full-time multi-craft maintenance mechanic to join our Fresh Dough Facility (FDF) in Jessup, MD. Our facility produces all of the bread, bagel, and roll dough for all of our bakery-cafes in the region. We are seeking a mechanic experienced in working within a manufacturing environment repairing, maintaining, and installing all types of bakery/food production equipment and machinery, as well as general facilities maintenance. Responsibilities Include: Provides support to the production staff to minimize downtime and maintain high safety and quality standards. Manage and perform scheduled equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program. Troubleshoot and repair all process equipment as safely, quickly and efficiently as possible. The forklift fleet consists of a variety of electric, gas-, and diesel-powered units designed for interior and exterior building use. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive maintenance schedule, obtaining approval for the schedule from appropriate government focal points, and adhering to the schedule in order to ensure all forklift units are mechanically ready for use and safe to operate. The contractor shall manage a spare parts inventory and make all levels of repairs when necessary. The contractor will also be responsible for repairing and maintaining pallet jacks and carts.
