About the role:
As a Mechanic A you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and perform tasks necessary to maintain functional operations of tools, machinery, process equipment, systems..
You will report to the Supervisor of Maintenance and be located at Ogden, UT. You will support this role 100% onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
Use hand tools (manual and power), material handling equipment, gas and electric arc welding equipment, machinist tools, lathes, milling machines, grinders, drill presses.
Process equipment containing acids, alkaline fiberglass, plastic and metal piping, fittings and materials; metal melting and fabrication equipment; lubricants including oils, greases.
May periodically direct lower classified craftsmen.

Receive oral and written instructions from supervisor.
Install, maintain and repair mechanical equipment according to blueprints and other drawings. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance including visual inspection of machinery and process equipment and observe for potential malfunctions, worn or faulty parts or other irregularities. Maintain preventive maintenance records.
Repair pumps, valves, blowers, compressors, vessels, conveyors, and other mechanical process equipment, and fabricate equipment or components.
Operate lathes, milling machines, drill presses to make and repair parts.
Maintain lubrication program.
Troubleshoot equipment and replace or repair defective components.
Assist other maintenance technicians or engineers.
Coordinate area activities with central maintenance shop. Train other craftsmen as assigned. Observe all safety rules.
Maintain a clean work area and return all tools, unused materials and written references to designated locations.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required
Five (5) years mechanical craft experience, three (3) years of which must be in mechanical industrial maintenance.
Diploma or applicable education from a trade or technical school in industrial mechanical maintenance may qualify for part of experience requirement

Role: Experienced Mechanic - Automotive Technician

Pay: At Darrell's Point S Tire, we believe in hybrid pay with a floor! A flat rate of $45 per hour, working out to be an average of $80,000-$100,000+ per year, based on performance, but if you bill more than 40 hours in a week, your flat rate increases.

Ranges are generally $85k-110k+ for technicians producing in the 200+ hr per month range

Job Description:
The Multicare Technician [BB1] position is a great place to continue your career at Jiffy Lube. It's a fast-paced team environment and the Multicare Technician is the next step towards more advanced positions and management. The role of Multicare Technician is to ensure customer receives complete service, diagnosis and repair to his/her vehicle in a timely and professional manner and to maintain a pleasant and safe environment for customers.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities for a Multicare Technician:[BB2]
Perform duties and functions of a Lube Technician
Perform duties and functions of Emissions/Safety Technician, if applicable
Provide services to customers following procedures and standards as outlined by management including vehicle inspection, diagnosis and repair
Understand and comply with OSHA and EPA standards
Clean facility as directed to maintain the cleanliness and general repair of the shop and property
Be available to work temporarily at nearby locations
Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook and/or Jiffy Lube documentation
Assist in training other technicians to become Multicare Technicians
Other duties as needed
Knowledge and Skills:
Valid driver license preferred with clean record
Customer service experience
Safety and/or Emissions Certifications
Jiffy Lube Certified Technician
Jiffy Lube Advanced Specialist Certification
Work Environment:
Exposed to outside weather conditions
Work in and around potentially moving vehicles
Frequently required to stand and walk
Dress and grooming standards
High School or GED preferred
