Schedule: 10pm - 6:30am
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is 36.96/hour.
This role will also receive overtime compensation and shift differential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.
Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certificates.
Other duties as assigned by manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.
Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Prior experience in administering appropriate PM program.
Must furnish own personal hand tools.
Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).
EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent required.
CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING
EPA 608 required
LICENSES
Must possess a valid driver's license.

This worker will be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records, and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
Additional Requirements: The Maintenance Controller performs administrative duties using computer, and other associated equipment within maintenance control. Assigns aircraft to the daily flight schedule. Releases aircraft “Safe for Flight”, assigns project/priority codes and directs cannibalization actions to meet the unit's maintenance plan and daily flight schedule. Monitors maintenance schedules for accuracy and completion.

Screens completed VIDS/MAFs for correct entries and data. Maintain Aircraft Discrepancy Book (ADB) in accordance with OPNAVINST 4790.2 Series.
When qualified and assigned by the Maintenance Control Supervisor, assists in scheduling aircraft into the maintenance program to ensure maximum availability of assets, become designated to release all TMS aircraft “Safe for Flight.”
Coordinates the daily flight schedule and configuration requirements with duty and applicable work centers.
Coordinates and screen Daily/Turnaround and special inspections as well as component and hi-time requirements to ensure aircraft are current for the flight schedule.
Performs duties as Liaison with base personnel for other requirements to include but not limited to fueling / defueling operations, fire department and etc.

Under general supervision, the Air Conditioning Mechanic performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs and installation of HVAC equipment, and related components.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The following are the essential duties and responsibilities the incumbent must be able to perform.
Maintain and repair HVAC equipment including split systems, VRF ducted and ductless systems, package units, water pumps, heat pumps, fans, air handler units, heating units, refrigeration equipment, and air compressors.
From interpreting blueprints, manufactures' instructions, and written or verbal instructions, determine the sequence of operations required to maintain, repair, and adjust air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

Position Summary
The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for successfully performing all facets of maintenance and documentation on KC-135R aircraft for private, commercial, Air-to-Air Refueling Operations. The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic is also responsible for daily aircraft inspections in accordance with the approved Air Mobility (AIRMOB) processes.
Role and Responsibilities
* Inspect mechanical components of the KC-135 to identify problems.
* Maintain and repair all systems of the KC-135 to include:
* Hydraulics System - Replace hydraulic components, bleed systems, and diagnose defects.
* Avionics - Guidance & Control / Radio Communications.
* Jet Engine - Inspection, engine control rigging, and basic maintenance.
* Electrics - Use wiring schematics, trace ground, and power faults, and rectify component failures.
* Minor Fuel system repair, replace seals, in tank fuel probes and fuel system components.
* Minor Sheet Metal repair, including minor riveting.
* Aero Repair - Repair, replacement, and rigging of flight control surfaces.
* Major / Minor aircraft inspections.
* Multi-Point Refueling System experience is a plus, but not essential.
* CFM56 2-B jet engine experience is a plus, but not essential.
* Perform daily aircraft inspections, launch/recover, refuel / defuel, debrief aircrew, troubleshoot, and repair discrepancies, jack aircraft, tow, and operate all required GSE (Ground Support Equipment).

Job duties require that this mechanic adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories, performs preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections, performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft, enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily, service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition, specialize in work, repair and modification of structural, precision, and functional spare parts and assemblies, and specialize in engine repair. May be required to be licensed by Federal Aviation Administration. May require specialization in sheet-metal, electric work, avionics or other aircraft systems related disciplines. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) licensing of contractor employee technical proficiency is not required.
TASK REQUIREMENTS:
Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneumatic, hydraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems.
Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, such as fuselage and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, rivet gun and drills.
Read and interpret manufacturers' maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
Perform phase, scheduled, unscheduled, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections.
Use chemical treatment process to etch and alodine parts.
Use chemical sealants.
Requisition repair parts, materials, and consumable supplies through military supply system ULLS-A (E).
Lead and direct small maintenance teams.
Perform other tasks as directed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
H-60 qualification and/or experience.
Three to five years leadership experience.
Eight or more years' rotary wing experience.
Familiarity and ability to use Microsoft Office.
Familiarity and ability to use military tech manuals.
Familiarity and ability to use Standard Army Management Information Systems i.e. ULLS-A (E).
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a graduate of one of the following Military Aviation Powertrain and/or General Repair, Hydraulic, Engine, Avionics and Sheet Metal Qualification Courses or civilian equivalent.
At least two years of experience on military rotorcraft.
Must be able to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift schedule as required.
Must be able to work flexible work-week schedules i.e. M-F, Tues-Sat, Sun-Th or as required.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to obtain a favorable National Agency Check.
Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft.
Must be able to use hand and power tools.
Must have dexterity to handle small parts.
Must have own tools.
Must be able to deploy to support off station exercises and perform other support duties as assigned.

$42.05/hour

Employees receive a minimum health and welfare fringe rate of $3.75 or a Group Health Insurance Opt Out amount of $2.80 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week.
