About the Auto Body Mechanic Position
As a Auto Body Technician with First Student, you will perform automotive body repairs, including straightening bent bodies, removing dents, and replacing damaged parts. Other major job duties include:
Performs damaged sheet metal and body repairs. remove, replace, or repair body parts using hand and power tools
Documents all repair and maintenance actions on work orders
Ensures vehicle security and safety while in the shop

Duties
Must maintain a valid license with a good record and no major violations.
Perform maintenance and general repairs on trucks and trailer mounted oilfield service equipment, and hydraulic components.
Visually inspect equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions, using diagnostic testing software as needed.
Clean, lubricate and perform other routine and preventative maintenance.
Drive company equipment as needed, including forklift and telehandler.
Knowledge of engine scanning software (SIS, INSIGHT, Allison).
Maintain, diagnose and repair DEF/DPF/Tier 4 Engine/Emission systems.
Trains and mentors field staff, on DEF/DPF/Tier 4 use and proper practices.
Orders and confirms delivery of replacement parts and applicable inventory.
Identify and repair hydraulic parts, components and systems.
Provide weekend on call support in a rotational schedule.
Be prepared to work in changing environments- approximately 75% shop work and 25% field work.
Other project as assigned by management.

Requirements
1 year minimum experience. Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in English.
Basic math skills.
Good equipment knowledge.
Prior experience with diesel equipment repair.
Good communication skills (written and oral).
Perform work in enclosed (confined) space, under close supervision.
Pass a medical and drug test.
Physically capable of performing all duties and responsibilities assigned. Specifically, lift 50 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent.
