This role involves preparing cars for races and tests, performing adjustments, tracking component data, and mentoring junior mechanics. The ideal candidate has extensive racecar mechanical experience, strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and collaboratively in a high-pressure, fast-paced, professional racing environment. Responsibilities Manage and execute assembly, disassembly, and maintenance of Porsche Penske Motorsport race cars in support of the above-mentioned series and a safe and efficient manner. Meeting specified deadlines for race car preparation while executing a high level of racecar preparation. The individual will work as a mechanic in the shop and at the race track. The mechanic will assemble and disassemble the race cars and work to prepare them for the race weekend. The mechanic must be versatile to work on all aspects of a race car with focus on front, rear and/or mid sections. At the race track the mechanic will prepare the car for the track by making necessary changes when instructed. As a mechanic the individual will ensure that all components of the car are secured. Position Specifics Qualifications Required * Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification. * High school diploma or equivalent. * Valid, state-issued Driver's License. * Capable of using respirators and other personal protective equipment including eye and hearing protection. * Must possess or have ability to obtain a U.S. Passport or equivalent within 90 days of starting position. * Must be able to speak, read, and write in English. * Must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred * Previous experience with CRJs Additional Information Work Environment: This job operates inside a climate controlled building.
