Primary Responsibilities:
Job will require IC and Electric truck repairs
Complete scheduled PM and repair assignments within the time frame allotted
Track van inventory to meet PM schedule
Perform routine forklift maintenance
Use diagnostic tools to test forklift components
Perform quality inspections
Skills Required:
The ability to work in all types of weather conditions
The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Employee must be able to push, pull, carry, grasp, reach and crouch when needed for the job
Employee must be able to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees
Job will require the employee to interpret documents, comprehend basic instructions (written or verbal), apply abstract principles to a wide range of complex tasks
Employee must be able to analyze information and write a diagnosis on work orders
The ability to decipher different colors
Must be able to work individually and as a team
Qualifications:
Prefer 1 or more years' experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or related mechanic jobs
Valid Driver's license with a good driving record
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Deadline and detail-oriented

Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m. shop hours

Job Description:
The HVAC Mechanc is responsible for installing, operating and maintaining air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, ventilation and humidifying systems including controls in accordance with approved blueprints or schematic drawings, structural layouts and design of components.
Responsibilities:
* Install, operate, and maintain air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, ventilation, and humidifying systems including controls in accordance with approved blueprints or schematic drawings, structural layouts, and design of components.
* Assemble structural and functional components, such as motors, controls, switches, gauges, valves, pumps, compressors, etc.
* Connect pipes to functional components and water or power systems.
* Perform major and minor repairs on all air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and ventilating systems in the hospital and auxiliary buildings.
* Dismantle malfunctioning systems and tests components.
* Replace or adjust defective or worn parts.
* Operate and maintain low-pressure boilers, pumps, and all control plant equipment in accordance with code regulations.
* Inspect equipment periodically to detect and repair leaks and other malfunctions.
Requirements:
* High School diploma or Equivalency required
* EPA Universal CFC Certificate required
* NYC Refrigeration License required
* 4 years apprenticeship or equivalent on-job training
* EPA 608 License preferred
* Vocational School courses in refrigeration theory, pipefitting, and structural design preferred
* 1 year experience in a comparable hospital position preferred
* Experience with compressors, condenser units, metal working tools, welding equipment, gauges
