Job Summary: The Mechanic will complete all repairs, preventative maintenance, programmed repairs and facility repairs to be in compliance with equipment/ facility reliability and standards. Education: High school diploma or equivalent Trade education in industrial mechanics (preferred) Additional Requirements/Skills: Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with industrial mechanical repairs. Heavy truck repair experience. Must have Preventative Maintenance system experience. Possess own basic hand tools. Must be able to work in closed and open environments. Responsibilities As a Technician you will be experienced and aware of the latest automotive technologies and be a persistent problem solver. Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Inspect and test new vehicles and recording findings so that necessary repairs can be made. Qualifications Hold a valid driver's license Minimum 3 years of experience ASE certifications and/or manufacturer EV certifications highly desirable. Previous experience as an automotive or EV technician required (2+ years preferred). Strong knowledge of high-voltage safety procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
