ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The technician's primary duties are to install, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems at water and Wastewater utility facilities. This includes installing new equipment which requires that the electrician run an electrical power supply to the location of the installation. Once done, the Technician must be able to wire the system into the power supply. The technician will perform repairs on any mechanical and or electrical equipment at the plants as well as any part of the electrical system or machinery at wells and pump stations. These repairs involve indentifying and replacing worn parts, damaged motors and faulty controls. Control panels, electrical distribution points, transformers and other pieces of the electrical system are considered wearable components and require replacement or repairs periodically by the Technician. The technician performs preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment at the facilities on a scheduled basis. The Technician is responsible to compose or update the check list or work order as needed and is also responsible to complete a checklist and turn it into the maintenance supervisor as part of the record-keeping procedures of water and or wastewater facilities. Candidate will be on standby as needed and be able to work in all weather conditions. The Technician also performs this work to meet state and federal electrical codes. The Technician performs these tasks without supervision, so knowledge and qualifications are mandatory. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSING: Preference is given to candidates with any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from High School and three years of work experience in utilities or a related field. Incumbent must be able to pass a criminal background check. Depending on area of assignment may require special professional license and/or certification for a specific trade. Possession of a valid Florida driver's license class A CDL with an acceptable driving record is required or the ability to obtain a class A CDL within 90 days of hire. Job Posting External Job Duties * Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair Crown and all other makes of lift trucks. * Perform all assigned planned maintenance on customer lift trucks. * Maintain a service van and its inventory. * Process paperwork after completion of each job. Minimum Qualifications * Less than 2 years related experience * High school diploma or equivalent * Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to safely operate lift trucks. Preferred Qualifications * Good mechanical and electrical aptitudes, knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics and internal combustion engines, and the ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics. * Good written/verbal communication and customer care skills. * Technical degree, previous lift truck repair, welding experience, and knowledge of various types of testing equipment preferred. * Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder and various types of testing equipment. * Industry related training is preferred * Ability to read and understand service manuals, plan, and follow-through Work Authorization: Crown will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
