Maintain and repair HVAC equipment including split systems, VRF ducted and ductless systems, package units, water pumps, heat pumps, fans, air handler units, heating units, refrigeration equipment, and air compressors. From interpreting blueprints, manufactures' instructions, and written or verbal instructions, determine the sequence of operations required to maintain, repair, and adjust air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Perform periodic or special preventive maintenance inspections to ascertain the general condition of the equipment and make recommendations for repairs as necessary to keep the equipment in good operating condition. Perform the recommended routine preventive maintenance on the equipment. Troubleshoot problems using appropriate electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic testing equipment. Adjust pneumatic, mechanical, and electric controls, including calibrating, replacing, and setting for appropriate temperatures and pressures.
