JOB PURPOSE: To ensure the safe operation and maintenance of all rides and attractions.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain, erect, repair and troubleshoot rides and attractions to insure their safe and efficient operation with minimum supervision.
To keep a ride parts inventory and notify the supervisor and A Mechanics of any parts or materials necessary to insure safe, continuous operation.
To direct, advise and/or work in conjunction with other staff solving ride-related problems.
To ensure that the ride is clean and visually in compliance with manufacturers specifications, guests and Darien Lake expectations.
To ensure that manufacturer specifications and state regulations are complied with and documented.
To inspect rides and attractions and notify the Rides A Mechanic, Ride Maintenance Supervisor and/or Ride Maintenance Manager of any hazards that may endanger the general public of Darien Lake staff.
Keep all records up to date and current in an accessible, organized fashion. (i.e. Logbooks, Inspection Forms, etc.)
Operate within the policies and procedures of Darien Lake.
Maintain good housekeeping standards in area of responsibility.
Qualifications
Possess the ability to work at heights above 208' above grade.
Be able to read, write and implement maintenance and inspection procedures.
Must possess own hand tools.
Must have basic knowledge and experience of mechanics, gear reduction, pneumatics, hydraulics and electricity.
Must have the ability to use those skills to insure the safe operation of rides and attractions.
Must be able to read, understand and implement maintenance and inspection procedures.
Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid New York State Drivers License and successful completion of Darien Lake Vehicle Training program.

Position Summary:
The maintenance mechanic will perform preventative maintenance and repairs to the facility and equipment therein, in accordance with applicable codes, manufacturer's specifications and policies of St. John's Home. Responsibilities include:
Perform maintenance, monitoring, testing, refining, tuning and repair to the facility and any equipment within or utilized by the facility.
Carry out preventative maintenance duties according to schedule.
Keep daily records of work orders completed and/or duties performed to be submitted to mentor.
Order part and materials and control inventory.
Clear walks and parking areas of snow and ice, when needed.
May be required to be on-call and/or respond to emergency situations during off hours.
Assist with other duties as needed that support the core team to fulfill St. John's mission, vision and values.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent certificate of completion required.
Three years' experience with machine repair, facility maintenance or related technical education required.
Valid and clean NYS driver's license required.
Current City of Rochester stationary engineers license preferred.
Current NYS Category 7G pesticide technician or application certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Standing, bending, ladder climbing, lifting up to 130 lbs. and pushing, pulling or rolling.

Be EPA certified.
Must have at lease 2 years experience running and properly supporting pipe.
Flare and swedge copper pipe.

Must have a desire to learn new industry technologies and skills. Is a craftsmen in what they do, this should be visible in the quality of their work. Is organized and punctual. Has a minimum of 1 year duct work experience. Have a clean drivers record. Can keep vehicles organized. Trustworthy. We are looking for Team members that are not afraid of responsibility and love what they do. Position requires 2 Saturdays a month, Monday-Friday hours usually consist of 10-12 hours per day during peek season. More about these shifts can be discussed during interview. Determine the cause of electrical and/or mechanical breakdowns on assigned manufacturing equipment and return equipment to proper operating order in minimum time. Able to diagnose and repair advanced electrical issues.
Completely assemble or disassemble assigned production lines or support equipment as required for repairs or installations.
Make all necessary electrical and/or mechanical adjustments to assigned production lines or support equipment to insure proper operation.
Regularly inspect production lines and support equipment and oil, grease, clean, repair, or modify it in performing preventive maintenance routines.
Order spare parts, replacement parts and other materials required through group leader, stockroom, or supervisor.
Effectively and safely, use a wide variety of electrical test equipment, common hand tools and all shop machines (including welders).
Perform all tasks within established safety and maintenance procedures.
Enter in all work through CMMS system and complete all assignments as directed by supervisor.
Communicate with supervisor and production leads about on-going issues and ability to provide resolution with proper documentation and root cause analysis.

Able to read blueprints, schematics, specifications and building plans.
Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
Able to work effectively with co-workers in a team environment.

Capable of and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and ISO procedures.
