You will be responsible for all aircraft low observable outer mold line structures, materials and applications. Prepare composite or metallic surfaces for coating applications by performing various operations such as sanding, stripping, applying vacuum, performing porosity testing, masking and other preparation tasks. Mix and apply sealants, gap fillers and any other required processes prior to paint which may require the use of heating devices. Mix and apply paints and other coatings at the proper spraying consistency. Apply additional surface details to manufacturer specifications. Perform or coordinate component-level testing for specification compliance after applications have been completed. May perform similar duties in aircraft build, modification or maintenance role. Basic Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experienced. Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. passport. Accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 180 days away from primary work location. Must meet medical requirements which currently includes fully vaccinated for worldwide travel. Applicants who fail the pre-investigative questionnaire will be disqualified and will have to wait three (3) months from the date of disqualification in order to reapply.EXAMINATION CONTENT This examination will consist of an evaluation of training and experience based on application information and desirable qualifications weighted 100%. APPLICANTS MUST ACHIEVE A PASSING SCORE OF 70% OR HIGHER IN ORDER TO BE PLACED ON THE ELIGIBLE REGISTER. VETERAN'S CREDIT If you are a veteran, you may be eligible for veteran's credit, which is an additional 10% of the total points added to a passing score.
