Transdev is hiring for a variety of Automotive and Diesel Mechanics positions in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area.
Transdev is seeking multiple experienced A or B technicians to perform maintenance on a variety of vehicles including Ford cutaways and transit buses.
We utilize a paperless shop with iPad tablet technology that makes filling out work orders much easier and less time consuming.

Base starting hourly wages from $30.75 to $44.92/hr. based on experience & qualifications (not flat rate)
Shift differentials $2/hr. for second shift, $2/hr. for weekend hours
ASE incentive program with $.25/hr. for each primary automotive certification and $.15/hr. for each secondary transit certification
Additional $1000 annual bonus for maintaining ASE triple master status
Additional $1000 annual bonus for maintaining ASE quad master status

Major Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs to maintain a safe and reliable fleet
Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair including brakes, engine performance, suspensions, drive trains, transmission, and other repairs
Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately.
Technician Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required. We provide company paid training to help you obtain your CDL!
2+ years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or combination of education & experience.
Must have appropriate mechanic's tool set.
ASE certifications preferred. Must be willing to participate in company ASE certification program

What You’ll Do
As a Diesel Technician III, you’ll work on a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to keep our fleet in top condition, including:
Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on tractor and trailer units, including:
Transmission troubleshooting and repairs
Injector maintenance and overhead adjustments
Engine overhauls and internal engine repairs
Conduct machine overhauls and post-repair performance testing to ensure peak efficiency
Use diagnostic software, technical manuals, and schematics to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems
Order and track parts inventory to ensure repair efficiency and minimize downtime
Provide coaching and mentorship to junior technicians, helping to develop a skilled team
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety procedures and company standards
Make warranty recommendations based on diagnostic assessments and repairs
What You Bring to the Team
We’re looking for a team member who has:
Required:
3+ years of experience in diesel/tractor maintenance
ASE Certification and two years of schooling or equivalent experience
Preferred:
5+ years of experience in diesel/tractor maintenance
AAS Degree in Heavy Duty Truck Technology or related field
Strong expertise in diagnosing and repairing transmissions, engines, and fuel systems
Certified in ABS brake systems and motor vehicle air conditioning systems

Job Description:
UPS is Seeking a reliable Automotive Technician to join our outstanding fleet maintenance team. The Automotive Technician will be responsible for maintaining a diverse range of equipment, including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty on-road tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers. These vehicles' propulsion systems include diesel, gasoline, and alternative technologies such as compressed natural gas, liquefied natural gas, propane, hybrid, and electrical in some locations.
Automotive Technicians must be skilled in troubleshooting and maintaining various systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
Automotive Technicians must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shifts, including Monday through Friday, Sunday through Thursday as well as Tuesday through Saturday schedules, depending on the location's need. A AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, WG, 8852, 10, Performs inspections, functional checks, and preventive maintenance on aircraft to include periodic, phase, hourly, preflight, postflight, calendar, thru-flight, and special inspections such as fuel contamination, emergency equipment, and oil sampling. Troubleshoots and performs unscheduled maintenance on assigned and transient aircraft, utilizing various gauges, meters, measuring devices and other related test equipment. Performs major adjustments and alignments of aircraft systems or components and assists specialists as required. Removes and replaces aircraft components such as control surfaces, engines, constant speed drive, engine mounted gear boxes, wing fuel tanks or cells, landing gear mechanisms, wheels, brakes and tires. Services oil, fluid, fuel, hydraulic, and oxygen systems. Adjusts and maintains installed equipment such as tow targets, hydraulic reels, and drive assemblies. Removes and replaces working or inoperative parts and elements. Performs operator maintenance on aircraft installed auxiliary power units. Tows, taxies, parks, and moors assigned and transient aircraft. Meets and debriefs the aircrew on the status of the aircraft. Launches and recovers assigned and transient aircraft to include those on alert status. Performs end-of-runway inspections prior to take-off.
