We are hiring for A&P Base Mechanics to support the daily maintenance of the helicopters across our region. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, repairs, and modifications to airframes, rotors and appliances. Our Aircraft Maintenance team maintains our helicopters to the highest standards possible. This is a base position, relocation within an hour required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Provide on-site maintenance support for our fleet of Bell 407 series helicopters
Maintain the aircraft
Schedule aircraft maintenance
Manage base inventory
Maintain the base library and company owned ground support equipment
Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Three years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with
A minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during that last 24 months
Bell 407 maintenance experience preferred
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
Inspection Authorization Certification preferred
Valid State issued Driver's License
Additional FAA/FCC ratings preferred
Must be able to successfully complete FAA - DOT drug and alcohol testing program
Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
Intermediate-level computer skills with an inventory system

The purpose of this position is to ensure the safety and reliability of County owned vehicles and equipment. This position preforms troubleshooting, repairs, emergency roadside services, and /or overhauls of major components and systems such as engines, transmissions, differentials and transaxles, electronic fuel injection systems, emission control systems, and related computer assisted electrical, electronic, braking, hydraulic, fuel and other assemblies. This position conducts independent research to diagnose drivability and performance issues and determines the best diagnosis and repair methods too reliably correct the issue. This position must obtain ASE certification or stay current with industry certifications, examples of which are listed below in the certification list.
