The Fleet technician 3 will diagnose, adjust and repair all series of class 8 tractor and trailing fleet equipment including, but not limited to the following: diesel engines, electrical, brake, cooling systems, transmissions (manual and automatic), clutches, differentials, power dividers, starters, alternators, air conditioning systems, DPF systems, aftertreatment devices, fan clutches, engine electronics, power steering systems, and steering. Conduct Preventive Maintenance (PM) services and repair tires as needed.
Essential Job Functions:
Comply with all safety and best practices and follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
Demonstrate proficiency in the repair and diagnosis of - with no assistance: diesel engines, power train to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, drive shafts, wheel ends. Electrical systems including starters, alternators and lights. HVAC systems. Steering systems. Electronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors etc. Engine bolt on items such as turbos, fan clutches, cooling system etc. Brake systems including ABS & air disk brakes. Suspension systems (spring and air) including tire issues, and after treatment devices such as DPF and DOC. Perform electrical system repairs, cooling system maintenance and preform complete vehicle diagnosis.
Performs all levels of preventive maintenance services on truck and trailing equipment.
Perform mechanical and general appearance reconditioning of equipment for "trade-ins" and prepare new equipment for delivery.
Must be annual vehicle inspector certified and brake inspector certified (per DOT requirements).
Successfully demonstrate welding skills (mig, tig) in non-standard situations and on varying materials as needed. (AU and steel)
Advanced skills with diagnostic software for Detroit DD15 engines, and DEF/after treatment repairs.
Proficient with windows-based computer systems and ability to use diagnostic software.
Identify and perform warrantable repairs and document on repair order.
Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.
Maintain work area appearance and safely.
Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure that they are working properly.
Perform duties with no supervision and in a timely and efficient manner.
Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.
Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to factory specifications.
Specialize in repairing and troubleshooting of major components such as engine, transmissions and differentials and fifth wheels, to include replacing complete assemblies, turbochargers, fuel system components etc.
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Provide directions and repair instructions and to mentor other technicians as needed.
Ensure compliance with DOT standards and properly document work completed.
Proficiently enter and process all transactions within the maintenance system.
Assist the with fleet analyses, action development and stances.
Complete or assist with miscellaneous projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
6 years practical experience with tractor trailer maintenance required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Vocational / Technical or certification preferred.
Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills.
Expert understanding of fleet maintenance policies, DOT standards and industry practices.
Organized with the ability to deal with multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
Specialized training and experience in the diagnosis/troubleshooting of major components (engines, transmissions, differentials), OEM training courses required (FRTL or INTL), ASE Certification preferred, and 608/609 certifications preferred.
Proficiency in the use of all tools of trade (including welding equipment, diagnostic equipment, hand and power tools) required.
Clean MVR required and able to operate service truck preferred.
Strong work ethic.
Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and written, and can read and understand English.
Demonstrated ability to recommend continuous improvement ideas and actions.
Results orientated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with computers.
A valid driver's license is required.
Ability to work in non-climate-controlled conditions required.
Willingness to travel for training.
Must have own tools (hand and pneumatic) sufficient to do any job that is required.

General Duties
Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance of forklifts
Interpret manufacturer's technical manuals to perform the necessary maintenance and repairs needed
Troubleshoot forklift problems including brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems; detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues, and/or malfunctions
Diagnose and repair mast and attachment components
Ability to work on LP, gas, and diesel systems
Replace broken or defective parts from stock parts and/or order replacement parts for major repairs
Reassemble forklifts and make all necessary adjustments for effective and safe operation
Perform safety inspection of forklifts prior to being released back to the production floor
Cleaning of equipment and other areas as required
Ensure work area and methods used in carrying out job duties meet safety requirements
Maintain an organized and neat work area
Complete legible service documents and logs for preventative maintenance tasks
Learn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology
Requirements
Two or more years of experience in a related field, including maintenance of various lift trucks
Forklift technician training/certification preferred
Solid foundation of mechanical aptitude and ability along with knowledge of industrial electricity would be preferred
Valid driver's license and ability to pass a drug screen
Able to work safely and follow company rules and procedures

Job Title: Forklift Mechanic Job Summary: The Forklift Mechanic is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the ISI fleet of forklifts. This position requires someone with strong organizational and time management skills, deadline and detail oriented. A successful candidate must have extensive experience as a forklift mechanic with strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
* Inspects forklift fleet to ensure forklifts are working properly and safely, schedules and performs routine maintenance for forklifts
* Repairs and maintains various types of forklifts, mostly gas-powered
* Identifies any forklifts that need repairs and removes unsafe equipment from facility operating area and notifies supervisor
* Ensures batteries for electric forklifts are fully charged and replaces empty propane tanks on propane-powered forklifts
* Maintains repair log for forklift fleet
* Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules
* Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems
* Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems
* Maintains vehicle records for services and repairs
* Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with ISI / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Required Skills/ Abilities:
* High School degree required, completion of forklift mechanic's training course required
* Minimum of 5 years of related experience as a forklift mechanic
* State inspection license preferred

Job Description
This individual will be responsible for working in an outdoor environment repairing and maintaining railroad construction equipment.
Essential Functions:
Troubleshoot and repair equipment - electrical, hydraulic, diesel and mechanical.
Provide training and technical knowledge on full range of equipment.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
Provide clear work order documentation and reports when needed.
Ensure compliance in all railroad, safety, health, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures for a goal of zero incidents and injuries.
Report to the Project Superintendent with a dotted line to the equipment manager.
Overall responsibility for keeping all machine running efficiently.
Stay in constant contact with the equipment manager and have E/M order parts as needed and as frequently as required to keep the gang up to optimal performance.
Perform all repairs as necessary both emergency and permanent repairs on a daily basis.
Maintain a set of tools required to perform the work.
Ensure that all equipment operators perform greasing, safety and oil checks daily and that records are maintained in accordance with FRA regulations.
Overall support for the gang as necessary inclusive of operating a machine in emergency situations.
Report to the E/M every night on the needs for the following day/turns.
Provide support as needed to move equipment from jobsite to Jobsite.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
Provide a high level of communication with home office and supervisory staff.
Employee is responsible for supplying steel toe boots and mechanic's tools.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of field service or mechanic experience.
You must have your own basic mechanic's tools.
Prior work experience in an outdoor setting including excessive heat and cold.
Must have experience with troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assemblies and testing experience.
Capable of reading variable schematic logic for both low / high voltage electrical and a variety of hydraulics.
Basic computer skills.
Strong troubleshooting abilities a plus.

Mechanic Duties/Responsibilities:
