Tighten joints, replace gaskets, fill oil reservoirs and grease cups and change bearings
Operate all machine shop tools (e.g. lathes, drill press, milling machine, welders, )
Perform rigging chores
Replace sections of process, drain and vent piping, their connections and appurtenances
Clean out traps, elbows and clean-outs
Repair, maintain and/or replace any process or balance-of-plant furnace burners or related equipment components
Derust, prime and repaint any structural steel or process piece equipment
Perform preventive maintenance procedures including use of predictive tools such as ultrasonic measurement

Education Required

Job Summary
Under general supervision and according to policies and procedures, installs and repairs commercial refrigeration equipment, cooling systems, heat exchanges, pumps, valves, expansion joints, etc.; reads blueprints and defines engineering specifications.
Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Three to five years progressively more responsible experience with commercial refrigeration and air handling systems.
3. First Class Refrigeration or Unlimited Journeyman's License required.
4. City of Detroit Unlimited Refrigeration Mechanic's license. 5. Must be licensed to add refrigerant compounds to equipment.
