ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Repairs and replaces diesel, gasoline, and/or CNG engine accessories as may be required. 2. Repairs and replaces bus and automotive body accessories (doors, engines, electrical units, glass, windshield wipers, seats, wheelchair lifts, etc.). 3. Rebuilds engine parts and other bus parts such as brakes, alternators, differentials, etc. 4. Repairs all MTTA vehicles (gas, diesel, and CNG) including repairs to air conditioners, motors, transmissions, generators, starters, etc. 5. Makes road calls as needed for various issues (i.e., breakdown, farebox, biohazard, etc.). 6. Trouble shoots vehicular problems including electrical systems, engines, etc. 7. Assumes additional responsibilities as required. 8. Fuel buses and other MTTA vehicles. 9. Must report to work on a regular and timely basis. REQUIREMENTS: Knowledge - High School Diploma or GED required with high school auto mechanics program or graduation from a recognized diesel mechanics school. Must possess three years of diesel and gasoline engine repair experience; trouble shoot automotive and bus electrical systems; possess standard mechanical hand tools and be experienced in the use of such tools to perform mechanical work. Mental Effort - Must be able to read and understand maintenance manuals, prepare work cards, and orders for vehicle repairs. License - Must be licensed in the state of Oklahoma. Must have a Class A or Class B CDL with passenger endorsement. Must have CNG certification or obtain one within 6 months. Forklift license preferred. Must have received no moving violations within the last 3 years and have no DUI/DWI convictions. Physical - Extensive walking, standing, bending, twisting and stooping at least 90% of the time; lifting maximum of 70 - 100 lbs., and lifting parts and materials overhead. Requires ability to withstand exposure to negative surroundings such as uncomfortable weather conditions, dust, engine fumes, toxic chemicals, and extreme noise levels. Requires ability to perform hand-over-hand and push-pull method of steering vehicles and be able to grip a steering wheel. Must be able to crawl or stoop into tight areas and lay horizontal under vehicle. Must be able to climb on a ladder or other equipment to heights such as building roofs at MTTA facilities. Audible/Visual Demands - Requires ability to hear directions given, distinguish vehicular problems associated with trouble shooting repairs, and visually perform essential functions for satisfactory job performance. Miscellaneous -21 Years of age. Must be willing to work shift hours and days as assigned. Must be safety conscious and avoid accidents if possible. Location: Onsite in Catoosa, OK Requirements Essential Job Functions: * Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble reciprocating engines, compressors, and auxiliary equipment. * Utilize precision measuring instruments (micrometers, dial indicators, bore gauges, calipers) to assess part dimensions and integrity. * Collaborate with team members to analyze inspection results and develop effective repair plans. * Handle, store, and organize components to prevent damage or loss. * Perform reassembly of repaired or replaced components according to technical specifications and quality standards. * Oversee and sign off on test runs and quality assurance checks. * Operate overhead cranes, torches, grinders, and forklifts as required. * Adhere to safety regulations and company HSE procedures, including proper use of PPE. * Maintain a clean and organized work environment. * Record parts and materials used, process requisitions, and report inventory needs. * Troubleshoot mechanical issues, read prints, and determine replacement parts needed. * Work overtime, nights, or weekends as required by management.
