The Mechanic is responsible to help maintain the equipment/ fleet and support repairs both at the warehouse and in the field at construction sites. The purpose of the position is to properly maintain and repair equipment in order to maximize its return on investment. This position will work to have all available equipment serviced and ready to be deployed into the construction field at time of need. The individual will also be available for any field service "breakdown" calls where expedited service is needed to support the construction projects and help them maintain their schedule. In this role you may be required to travel up to 40% of the time. Responsibilities: Inspect each piece of requested equipment for safe dependable operation prior to site delivery. Make necessary service or repair to ensure each machine is ready for safe operation. Coordinate any field service repairs, breakdowns or required maintenance with the site Superintendent which may include troubleshooting problems on the phone or site visit for inspection of downed equipment. Order and collect necessary parts to make the suggested repairs. Test the equipment repair and report the completion status to the Superintendent. Evaluate all necessary repairs to each piece of equipment and determine the degree of the repair as well as an estimate of costs for the repair. Determine if the repair is billable to the user or general maintenance. Create and maintain service schedules and records. Each repair includes parts costs and labor hours worked. Duties and Responsibilities • Perform all assigned maintenance duties related to; routine inspections, troubleshooting, airframe structures, engines, aircraft systems etc. • Perform all airframe, power plant repairs and modifications required to meet Company, Client, and FAA requirements • Read and understand blue prints and aircraft wiring diagrams with proper interpretation and incorporation • Removal and disassembly of defective parts; assembly and installation of replacement parts; and testing aircraft system • Ensure all documentation is kept current with open discrepancies and completed corrective actions with accuracy • Operate all power tools and equipment necessary to accomplish job assignment while maintaining a clean and operative working environment at all times • Accurately and timely record and submit work orders • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times • Tows and parks aircraft • Performs other aircraft maintenance work as may be required • Accomplish performance measures that cohere with CAS and (CLIENT'S) values of safety, integrity, respect, and trust Qualifications Minimum Qualifications, skills, and abilities: • High School Diploma or Equivalent • Must hold a current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License (A&P) with no history of infractions • Knowledge and Understanding of the English Language • 1 year of previous line maintenance experience preferred, not Required • Experience and/or training on at least two commercial aircraft types, (A319, A320, A321, and/or B737, B767, B777 & E190 aircraft preferred) • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Computer literacy • Ability to legally operate a motorized vehicle • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical. • Exemplifies CAS and (CLIENT'S) safety culture, values, and mission • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess the ability to: 1. Stand 2. Lie down 3. Kneel 4. Climb stairs, scaffolds or ladders 5. Frequently lift, pull, and hold objects weighing more than 70 pounds 6. Noise and vibration are common when engines are on, so ear protection is necessary. * Working conditions: A&P Mechanics commonly work in all elements, capability to handle weather extremes is desired. Mechanics often work under time pressure to maintain flight schedules to keep from inconveniencing customers. At the same time, mechanics have a tremendous responsibility to maintain safety standards.
