About the Role:
The Field Mechanic with MYR Group you'll travel to project sites across the designated service area, supporting our field teams. You'll use your skills to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and minor equipment repairs safely and professionally. Like every team member, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to internal customers.
This position requires significant travel in the state of Texas, (including overnight) to project locations, supporting teams to ensure successful operation of the equipment. At times, the Mechanic will be required to respond to emergencies outside regular work hours and work overtime including weekends and holidays. To support these travel requirements, a company vehicle, fuel card, and lodging will be provided.

Essential Functions
This is considered an advance-level skilled or career level position
Perform mechanic assignments using independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations
Perform a full range of servicing and repairs on various types of fleet equipment, including malfunctioning parts and systems. Ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines and company schedules
Frequently travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of equipment. Must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
May provide oversight for less experienced mechanics
Perform routine and preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs
Identify mechanical problems either visually or with computer diagnostic equipment
Maintain records of time and materials used on each job, the condition of the equipment, and the repairs performed
Track information in computer software; ensure repair orders and weekly timesheets are complete and accurate
Conduct safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation
Work in accordance with DOT, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Interstate Authority, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and other rules and regulations as required
Participate in training programs; maintain and update safety skills and knowledge; keep current with hazardous material training requirements

About You:
Qualifications
Must have three to five years of experience in general mobile heavy truck repair, automotive repair, or equipment repair; equivalent trade school/technical school time may be applied toward this requirement OR have completed a vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in vehicle and equipment repair and have four years of experience.
Must be capable of operating company vehicles and equipment on a daily basis. The employee must have the ability to drive and have proper licensing.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

A minimum of three (3) years' relevant experience in aircraft maintenance within the last six (6) years on assigned airframe.
Proficiency in Aircraft Notebook (ACN).
Possession of a valid driver's license.
Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
Experience conducting both Field and Sustainment level maintenance tasks on CH-47 series aircraft, focusing on avionics, electrical, and instruments.
Experience installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing intricate electronic equipment.
Understanding of working in specialized workshops dedicated to Field and Sustainment level maintenance and fixed base operations.
Familiarity with performing diagnostic troubleshooting and maintenance repairs directly on the flight line to meet customer needs.
In-depth knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting and repair.
A foundational understanding of electrical theory.
Extensive familiarity with specialized aircraft tools, including but not limited to, test equipment, torque wrenches, and dial indicators.
Ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance for access to facilities and COMSEC equipment.
Position Responsibilities:
Execute proficient troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of aircraft aligning with aviation regulations, manufacturers' guidelines, and our company policies.
Uphold stringent documentation standards, ensuring comprehensive and updated aircraft maintenance records.
Adhere diligently to organizational policies and procedures, maintaining a compliant and efficient workspace.
Demonstrate leadership by guiding teams through complex, aircraft-related tasks as and when necessary.
Effectively prioritize workload, ensuring organized and timely completion of assigned projects
Will be responsible for maintaining aircraft records in customer-provided aircraft management systems (ACN/SAP).
May be to travel
May be to work night/evening shifts.
May be required to work overtime and weekends.
