The A&P Mechanic - G650 is responsible for performing high-level maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on the G650 aircraft. This position supports a VIP/ VVIP aviation environment that requires exceptional technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and the highest standards of safety, confidentiality, and professionalism. The ideal candidate has advanced experience with the G650 platform, knowledge of G650-specific systems and modifications, and the ability to maintain both airframe and cabin systems to meet elevated customer expectations. Key Responsibilities Aircraft Maintenance & Repair Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the G650, including A/B checks, cabin systems maintenance, and Gulfstream-specific modifications. Conduct inspections and repairs on high-end interiors, cabin management systems (CMS), entertainment systems, lighting, galley equipment, and VIP-customized installations. Execute component replacements, SB/AD compliance, structural repairs, and configuration-controlled cabin changes per BBJ documentation. Troubleshoot and support Cabin Management Systems (CMS), satellite communications, Wi-Fi, Blu-ray/AV systems, and aircraft internet hardware. Work closely with flight crews and cabin staff to ensure the aircraft meets VVIP standards of comfort and functionality. This position is covered by the CBA for Local 99. #EGS #LI-NS1 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitors safe and efficient operations of HVAC/refrigeration systems in accordance with departmental requirements; corrects deficiencies according to PM/CM and manufacturers specifications. Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance on all HVAC and refrigeration systems, as well as fan coil or dx units, and other equipment as assigned. Installs and services new HVAC/refrigeration equipment. Perform all aspects of repairs to Air Handling Units (AHU) to include filter replacement, bearing replacement, motor replacement, belt replacement and proper alignment in accordance to OEM procedures. Coordinates inspections, repairs and installation in consultation with staff in affected areas to minimize disruption of operations. Complete Work Order and Preventative Maintenance (PM) paperwork in a timely and professional manner. Participates in the computerized maintenance management system for work and equipment documentation Participate in the building management system. Monitor design parameters for status and efficiency. Assist in programming recommendations for the system. Track refrigerant loss, procurement, and storage per government standards. Install, maintain and repair all field devices for the Temperature Tracking System. Participate in the testing of HVAC shutdown by duct smoke detectors. Performs heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance on air conditioning units, fans, air handlers, water heaters, converters, duct work and system controls. Request assistance from plumbers, painters, electricians, carpenters, and Building Engineers when necessary. Coordinates inspections, repairs, and installation with staff and tenants in affected areas to minimize disruption of CNRIC operations. Ensures compliance with department safety and quality standards to optimize effective utilization of resources and productivity. Follow and implement standard Lock Out Tag Out procedures. Complete Corrective Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance (PM) work orders in a timely and professional manner. Attends weekly Tool Box safety meetings Obtain OSHA 10 General Industry Safety and Health certification. (EMCOR provided training) Qualifications: At least there (3) years of applicable experience. Must have a current Journeyman HVAC License Must have a current Universal CFC License. Must possess a valid Driver's License. Job Description Summary/Objective: The Mechanic is responsible for the proper repair and maintenance of all company vehicles and equipment and for the safe and proper care of equipment assigned to the mechanic. Essential Functions: Maintain and repair automotive vehicles (such as trucks, tractor-trailers, pickups, cars, heavy equipment, and mounted equipment such as mixers and hydraulic systems) and stationary equipment (such as air compressors, welding equipment, and miscellaneous equipment) to company standards; recognize failure symptoms, trouble shoot, inspect, repair or replace, reassemble and test. Coordinate with Manager to ensure the proper parts and supplies are available when needed. Recognize potential problems before they occur and perform or order the necessary repair work. Coordinate with the Manager and other mechanics to get the work done. Complete all required paperwork accurately. Supervise the Mechanic's Helper ensuring that he/she performs all work as required and follows all company policies and procedures. Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner at ALL times. Wear all required safety equipment. Follow all safety guidelines and notify the Manager or Safety immediately of any current or potential safety issues. Perform all required inspections. Follow all environmental regulations. Dispose of chemicals, trash, etc. in designated areas. Recycle when required. Notify the Manager immediately of any current or potential environmental problems. Keep the shop area and all tools, shop vehicles, and equipment neat, clean, and in good repair. Clean work area at the end of every work shift. Maintain security of all company equipment and tools at all times. Notify the Manager of any problems. Drive shop vehicle to various plant sites, road calls or other sites of broken equipment. Drive broken and repaired equipment when necessary. Other duties as assigned. Non-Essential Functions: Pick up equipment or supplies. Train other employees. Fill in for colleagues as needed. JOB SPECIFICATIONS Work Environment: Work time will be split between indoors/shop and outdoors/field. Exposure to dust and fumes/offensive smells. Exposure to chemicals such as fuel, grease and oil. Close proximity to moving mechanical parts. Noise level will be moderate to loud. Physical Demands: Lift a maximum weight of 100 lbs., repetitively lift 25 lbs., carry approximately 100 lbs., and push/pull approximately 50 lbs. Reach overhead and reach away from the body, pinching and gripping. Walk 1 hour per day, stand 4 hours per day, kneel 1 hour per day, squat 1 hour per day, climb 1 hour per day, lay on back 2-3 hours per day. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Experience: Experience maintaining and repairing diesel engines. Special Skills: Written communication, verbal communication and basic mathematical skills. Basic computer knowledge. Ability to learn and use iPad, iPhone and company software applications. Certifications: Valid driver's license, CDL preferred. DOT certification. ASE certifications preferred. Mack training preferred. Industry Related Experience or Skills: Familiarity with mechanical maintenance of concrete mixers, dump or refuse trucks. Projects may include new construction and renovation in educational, healthcare, corporate commercial and science and technology. HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL DO Under supervision of a professional engineer perform designs of uncomplicated piping and equipment selection for HVAC systems for building design. As necessary assist with Plumbing and Fire Protection Designs. Prepare Building Load Calculations using modeling software under supervisory direction. May prepare energy models using appropriate software correct parameters with supervisory oversight. Prepare Revit/BIM modeling of construction drawings of HVAC systems from schematic design to construction administration phases including layout, sketches and detail drawings as required, with supervisory oversight. As necessary perform Revit/BIM modeling for plumbing and fire protection systems. Assist with editing specifications relating to existing and new projects. Review submittals and shop drawings for compliance with the contract documents. Research as assigned and respond to emergent issues. May write draft reports to be reviewed by a professional engineer. Assists in gathering information to respond to RFI's and review of change orders in the preparation of construction documents. May perform job site visits to verify existing conditions and observe construction progress. Site visits frequently require a physical walk-through of site. May coordinate specific activities on particular elements of a project. Perform other duties as assigned. HERE'S WHAT YOU WILL NEED Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering required. Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program preferred. Minimum of 2 years of related experience required. EIT/FE in the United States preferred. LEED accreditation preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to effectively handle multiple projects. Experience in computer applications for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit, Trane Trace or Trane 3D Plus) required.
