The Shop Diesel Mechanic/Technician is responsible for performing mechanical repairs in a timely and professional manner. Essential Job Duties/Functions: Performs PM's and oil changes. Greases trucks and trailers. Performs tire services. Performs CSA/DOT inspections. Performs service calls and night call outs. Conducts intermediate to Advance Electrical repair and diagnoses cause of failures. Completes intermediate to Advance Wheel End repair (S-cam/bushing replacement, spindle repairs, race and bearing replacement, wheel seals, ETC.) Performs intermediate air system repair (Basic diagnostics, tank replacement, air bags, leveling valves, dash valves, etc.) Conducts basic HVAC repair (evacuate & recharge, verifies cause of failure). Completes basic coolant repairs (thermostat, water pump, hoses, fittings, radiator, etc.) Performs basic welding Conducts basic starting/charging (batteries, alternators, starters, etc.) and diagnostics. Completes basic engine repair (belts, tensioners, pulleys). Ensures total customer satisfaction and the integrity of Bosselman. Practices and adheres to all company safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers. Completes OSHA Skills Demonstration within the first week of employment. Stays current on all LMS training. Provides friendly and competent customer service.
