The Disel Mechanic will diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul diesel/gasoline tractors/trucks, and other equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators and other light- and heavy-operating equipment in support of the Facility's overall operations. Complete repairs listed on work orders promptly and following all company standards
Road-test trucks and utilize diagnostic equipment to evaluate system performance
Troubleshoot, service, and repair major components, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, steering, brakes, and HVAC
Work closely with Service Advisors to communicate findings and expected repair times
Perform warranty repairs according to the manufacturer's guidelines
Document all work performed with accuracy and clarity
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on technician experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Peterbilt certification strongly preferred
ASE or additional technical certifications are highly advantageous
Solid diagnostic, electrical, and engine repair abilities
Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent hand-eye coordination
Able to operate advanced diagnostic tools and software
