About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented full time Mechanic to specialize in Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle (WAV) Ramp and Accessibility System Repairs. Position Summary The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for successfully performing all facets of maintenance and documentation on KC-135R aircraft for private, commercial, Air-to-Air Refueling Operations. The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic is also responsible for daily aircraft inspections in accordance with the approved Air Mobility (AIRMOB) processes. Role and Responsibilities Inspect mechanical components of the KC-135 to identify problems. • Maintain and repair all systems of the KC-135 to include: Hydraulics System - Replace hydraulic components, bleed systems, and diagnose defects. Under general supervision, the Air Conditioning Mechanic performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs and installation of HVAC equipment, and related components. EXAMINATION CONTENT: This examination will consist of an evaluation of education and experience based upon application information and desirable qualifications, weighted at 100%. Candidates must achieve a passing score of 70% or higher on this examination in order to be placed on the Eligible Register. ELIGIBILITY INFORMATION: Applications will be processed on an "as-received" basis and those receiving a passing score will be promulgated to the eligible register accordingly. The names of candidates receiving a passing score in the examination will be added to the eligible register in the order of their score group for a period of twelve (12) months following the date of promulgation.
