Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Diagnose and repair various pieces of heavy equipment, including but not limited to vibroseis vehicles (vibes), diesel trucks and generators, rough terrain vehicles (RTV's) and passenger vans. The following are examples of what systems the Mechanic will have to maintain/repair:
Brakes (Air), Cooling, Drive, Electrical, Exhaust and Emissions Control, Heating and Air Conditioning, Hydraulic pumps, Air, Steering and Suspension, Transmissions (manual and automatic) and Coupling Devices
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on all vehicles and equipment
Perform Annual Certificate of Inspections
Ensure safety equipment is appropriately assigned to each type of vehicle ie Reflective triangles, fire extinguishers, fire paddles etc
Prepare work orders, and maintains records of maintenance/service logs
Maintain/use spill containment equipment to reduce environmental impact
Retain and submit receipts to Accounting Dept.

Work Environment:
The Mechanic is a Full-time position working in remote isolated outdoor environments, subject to extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow and sudden changes in temperatures. Terrain may be uneven, slippery, inclined or unstable. Exposure to dust, dirt, fumes and vibration are expected and there is potential for exposure to corrosive battery acid.
The Mechanic works 7 days per week, with long hours and normally extensive overtime. A 30 day on/10 day off schedule is assigned. Daily schedules fluctuate based on weather conditions and operational needs. Schedules fluctuate and shifts may be allocated on a day or night basis due to weather conditions and operational needs. Extensive travel from job to job is required with lodging provided in motels near the jobsite. They must provide own basic tools, with specialty tools being provided by the company.

Assemble and install aircraft components, for example, fitted parts, sheet metal assemblies, component racks and batteries, and crew and slave equipment
Complete aircraft paperwork and prepare aircraft for turn to flight
Assist with jacking and moving aircraft and/or equipment to next station
Analyze hydraulic fluid for contamination on applicable aircraft models and ground support equipment
Support other areas in functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical components as problems arise
Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification
Troubleshoot and repair aircraft hydraulic-mechanical systems to the component level, for example, hydraulic system, environmental control system (ECS), anti-ice systems, emergency pneumatic systems, primary/secondary flight control systems, baggage compartment leak rate, and oxygen system
Modify aircraft systems and airframe in accordance to engineering specifications
Qualifications
You have 5 years of experience working on aircraft final assembly and system installation, which must include 1 year experience on Bombardier aircraft models
You hold thorough knowledge of mechanical aircraft systems
You can read and interpret engineering documents
You can operate ground support equipment
You have thorough knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft
You hold working knowledge of electrical aircraft systems
You can read system schematics
You have basic knowledge of electrical systems
You can operate ground support equipment to simulate ground and flight conditions
You can adjust electrical switches per applicable systems
You have working knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft
You are able to obtain and renew certifications

We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to maintain and repair vehicles. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, vehicles and mechanical systems. Mechanics are responsible for conducting diagnostic services per department standards and factory specifications; deviation from standards and specifications require management pre-approval. This position requires the ability to self-manage, self-motivate, communicate seamlessly and have a sense of urgency that team members and customers expect.
Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Create a proper estimate informing your customer on discrepancies or abnormalities including the time to perform the service and parts required for the job
Recommend additional repairs or maintenance needed to improve the value of the vehicle
Perform assigned repairs and maintenance
Keep supervisor informed of job status, especially when job is interrupted or delayed.
Keep supervisor informed on progress / problems with work load. Request assistance as needed
Test and recheck all repairs and road test all comebacks as assigned by the Managers
Properly complete all work order documentation

Qualifications include:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
ASE Certifications are preferred but not required
3 to 5 years of auto mechanic experience preferred
Strong verbal and written communication and interaction skills required
Ability to sit, stand, climb stairs, squat, knee and walk for prolonged periods of time, must be able to lift 5-50 pounds. Vision abilities required
Potential - running, jumping, yelling, or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations
Good computer and software knowledge - able to operate diagnostic test equipment
