Role & Responsibilities:
Perform most of the basic engineering tasks as necessary for each project including zoning, equipment layout and coordination, heating/cooling load calculations, coordination with other team(s), etc..
During the design phase, you will prepare Design Development Drawings and Construction Documents in collaboration with other squad members, and senior team members as needed while applying relevant code knowledge to your system design and layout
During the agency approval phase, you will coordinate corrections to your plans/designs with the AHJ and other team members as needed in order to support project permitting.
During the construction phase, you will provide Construction Administration services to aid in the execution of our design
Qualifications:
3-5 years industry experience required.
Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and drafting skills required.
Working knowledge of current codes/standards for building projects within the State of California including: CaliforniaMechanical Code, CALGreen Code, and California Energy Code.
Training in BIM preferred but not required; Revit MEP preferred.
Excellent time management and project prioritization.
Software skills: AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, MS Office365.
PE Strongly Preferred.
Growth mindset.
BSME degree, technical degree, or other industry specific work experience which demonstrates high levels of technical capability, required.

Prior experience in the design of complex mechanical systems is desired.
The selected candidate will effectively perform mechanicaldesignengineering assignments requiring application of advanced principles, theories and concepts to develop propulsion hardware to support liquid thruster and integrated propulsion systems for spacecraft and missile programs.
50% - Perform design tasks and activities that contribute to the development of turbomachinery components and assemblies. Interpret and create 3D CAD engineering models and drawings and perform tolerance studies. Evaluate technical input from hardware suppliers and work with component analysis, manufacturing, project engineering, quality and customer support groups on producibility improvements and cost savings. Conduct trade studies and develop component specifications and procedures as required. 20% - Prepare engineering drawings with associated geometric dimensioning and tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5 standards. Actively participate in team meetings to assure design content for new or modified engineeringdesigns. Prepare CAD files for team approval and monitors design release.
20% - Participate in shop floor and production hardware processing at suppliers and internally. Support engineering drawing and specification updates at configuration change boards. Oversee installation, testing and operation of designs.
10% - Prepare presentations for internal and external customers. Responsible for preparing engineering reports to support tolerance studies, engineering analyses or failure investigations, including technical close-out reports.
Skills:
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.

Assist the Project Manager with the following:

The Role
This Senior MechanicalEngineer will work primarily on projects within industrial manufacturing, life sciences (biopharmaceutical), pulp and paper, and fuel terminal piping and tanks. Additional projects may include work within process industries, air and sea ports, energy, commercial development, and other business sectors.

The Responsibilities
Serve as a technical resource on complex designs and advance engineering theories, concepts, principles, and processes.
Perform mechanicaldesign, working with other members of the mechanical staff, and coordinate with other disciplines on specific projects.
Prepare design calculations and documentation that support the project design basis.
Prepare mechanical drawings, through the use of designers or drafters, and develop specifications.
Coordinate design with vendor supplied equipment.
Prepare equipment layouts and general arrangements.
Prepare construction bid packages and construction specifications.
Assist in preparation and presentation of proposals, including scope of services and fee estimate.
Support sectors with business development activities and proposal input.
The Requirements
Bachelor's degree in MechanicalEngineering and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
Working knowledge of facility/building mechanical systems including HVAC and plumbing.
Familiarity with process system design and equipment including pumps, fans, heat exchangers, cooling towers, boilers, chillers, conveyors, and air handlers is also important.
Ability to identify, interpret and apply relevant codes and standards to engineeringdesigns.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients, vendors, and constructors.
Proficient with MSOffice suite.
Experience with AutoCAD, CADWorx, or Revit, a plus.
Knowledge of Caesar (preferred) or Autopipe pipe stress software, desired.
Knowledge of PIPE-FLO preferred.
Ability and willingness to travel to an off-site location and/or accept client site assignments when required.
Benefits
Salary Range: $120,000-$150,000/year depending on location, education, experience, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
