The Project Engineer in this role is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large, extensive projects in the heavy civil/power construction industry, encompassing grading, clearing, and site development. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Track project quantities Generate project billing. Initiate and negotiate change orders. Summary Redwire Space Missions LLC in Littleton, CO has a current opportunity for a Contractor - Electrical Design Engineer for up to 6 months. This is a hands-on, circuit design role responsible for the design and analysis of space-qualified power electronics hardware! Responsibilities Design and analyze high-efficiency DC/DC converters, switching regulators, and power switching circuits incorporating GaN FETs and other advanced semiconductor technologies. Perform detailed circuit analysis including worst-case, stability, and thermal assessments to ensure compliance with mission requirements. Create schematics and documentation using the OrCAD tool suite, and manage PCB layout and design reviews in collaboration with layout engineers. Support component selection suitable for space applications, including derating, radiation tolerance, and reliability considerations. Generate and maintain design documentation, analyses, and review data packages for internal and customer reviews Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers in circuit design, analysis, and documentation best practices.
