The Designer is responsible for producing bills of materials for additional parts required by assemblies.
Produce documentation for assembly instructions and use of jigging or fixturing for proper assembly of products.
Provides support to manufacturing personnel to resolve design and assembly issues.
Uses proper design principles when incorporating dampers, louvers, fans, coils, heaters, and other components as required.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a
Design Engineer
based out of the
Exeter, CA
location who will prepare detailed drawings of water control devices (slide gates, canal gates, radial gates, butterfly valves, flap gates, agricultural products, etc.), including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. Drafters prepare technical drawings used to create various products and components. Many drafters operate CADD (computer-aided design and drafting) systems for 2D drafting/Design & 3D Modeling. However, knowledge of traditional pencil-and-paper drafting techniques is still useful for professionals in the field.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed design drawings for water control equipment and devices using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment (2D Drafting/Design & 3D Modeling).
Identify and implement drafting process improvements and best practices to drive process excellence and eliminate errors.
Maintains confidentiality of all drafting information.
Follow all safety and working rules.
Must have the ability to get along with co-workers, management personnel, customers, vendors, and employees in accordance with the company policies and working rules while ensuring a harmonious and ethical work environment.
Requires some possible travel.
Maintain a positive attitude and contribute towards a quality environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Coordinate with and consult
other
workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, ideas, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed components or water control devices using computer-assisted equipment.
Modify and revise designs of existing drawings.
Design scaled drawings.
Confer with customer representatives based upon Engineers submittal review comments or questions.
Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes and how they work.

Education and/or Experience
