JOB SUMMARY To support our rapid growth, CoolSys Energy Design - Consulting Engineers (CED) is in search of a Jr.
MechanicalDesignEngineer to join our team! Our ideal candidate will transform initial "red-line" designs into engineering drawings using AutoCAD or Revit under the supervision of a Senior Engineer.
Responsibilities Prepare and create detailed engineeringdesigns for a variety of building projects.
Create and maintain AutoCAD and Revit drawing packages.
Maintain responsible control over all design activities pertaining to the project, including engineering, quality control, and code compliance.
Ensure work is executed accurately and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Ensure preparation of the design's calculations and engineering drawings is constructible and complies with code and customer requirements.
Prepare engineering documents that meet customer quality requirements and company standards.
Coordinate with local building officials regarding code compliance.
Assist with on-site visits and reporting, as required.
Incorporate selection, layout, sizing, and applicable system and equipment requirements with direction from the Senior Engineer.
Provide support for other department activities as required including plotting drawings, producing transmittals, and coordinating the shipment of deliverables.
Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in MechanicalEngineering.

Key responsibilities
Lead technically complex design efforts from concept through verification and support through transfer to manufacturing, product launch and sustaining.
Act as the recognized subject matter expert in one or more engineering domains (e.g., precision mechanisms, temporary pump technology, fluid-structure interactions, materials and fabrication).
Translate clinical observations and user needs into validated device concepts and engineering requirements.

Perform and lead troubleshooting, incident investigations, and root-cause analysis for design failures or performance issues; develop and implement robust corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Provide formal input to and lead aspects of the design review process; conduct project post-mortem (lessons-learned) activities and close the loop on improvement opportunities.
Produce clear, rigorous technical documentation including technical reports, technical memoranda, test plans, test reports, design inputs/outputs, and risk analyses for internal and external audiences.
Present technical findings, project status, and risk trade-offs to R&D management and cross-functional stakeholders.
Mentor, coach, and train junior engineers on engineering methods, tools, manufacturing-feasible design, testing, and problem-solving techniques.

Required qualifications

The anticipated base pay range for this position is
$117,000.00 - $201,250.00
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
