This position is accountable for the electrical / mechanical maintenance and reliability engineering function for Flexsys America LP plant located in Monongahela, PA (approximately 15 miles south of Pittsburgh, PA). This position provides expertise to support maintenance, operations, HSES and capital project activities. Position Responsibilities: • Support operations and maintenance during on-going plant operations including troubleshooting, equipment repairs, and support during major turnarounds. • Provide input into capital project scope and detailed engineering to insure safe reliable plant design, production at target rates, and low life cycle costs. • Perform analysis of production loss and equipment failure data using statistical analysis tools and recommend projects to improve reliability. • Lead, facilitate, or participate in root cause analyses of process upsets and equipment failures to identify corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. • Coordinate engineering, repair and construction activities for plant alterations and improvements. • Lead problem solving teams to identify, design and implement improvements. • Coordinate and manage project development, design, and installation. Requirements Qualifications: Required Experience & Skills: • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro - Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Electrical Engineering Technology (ABET accredited four-year program) • Strong commitment to personnel and process safety. • Must have knowledge of electrical engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices • Broad-based, hands-on knowledge and experience with various types of instrumentation: Pressure, level, flow, etc. • Hands-on experience in programming and debugging valves, I/O, pneumatic devices, motors, PLCs, and other mechanical systems • Ability to work in a team environment with other engineers, technicians, field maintenance forces, and contractors. • Knowledgeable in using Preventive and Predictive Maintenance tools related to electrical and/or mechanical equipment. • Fluent in English. Good written and oral communication skills. • Advances problems toward resolution when encountering ambiguity or uncertainty • Results oriented, puts in extra effort and work to accomplish critical or difficult tasks. Preferred: Required Experience & Skills: • 5+ years of experience in the chemical, power, or pulp and paper industry preferred. • Strong commitment to personnel and process safety. • Knowledge of materials of construction for chemical processes. • Experience in PLC programming and ladder logic. • SAP preferred CMMS (Computerize Maintenance Management System) experience and AutoCAD.
