Responsibilities:
Productize and optimize models from Research into reliable, performant, and cost-efficient services with clear SLOs (latency, availability, cost).

Educational Qualifications:

Strong systems/ML engineering with exposure to distributed training and inference optimization.
Industry Experience:
3-5 years in ML/AI engineering roles owning training and/or serving in production at scale.
Demonstrated success delivering high-throughput, low-latency ML services with reliability and cost improvements.
Experience collaborating across Research, Platform/Infra, Data, and Product functions.
Technical Skills:
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks: PyTorch (primary), TensorFlow.

Our team provides customers with support Special Mission Aircraft (SMA) heavy maintenance and modifications. This business area focuses on the support, design, analysis, modification, integration, ground and flight testing, airworthiness certification, and logistics support of airborne ISR platforms that are primarily highly modified commercial-derivative aircraft. The Machine & Sheet Metal Designer is responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, 3D models, and engineering drawings for machinery, sheet metal components, and fabricated assemblies. This role supports engineering, production, and manufacturing teams by ensuring designs meet functional requirements, cost objectives, safety standards, and manufacturability guidelines. The Designer will work primarily in an office/shop environment producing designs and specifications under the direction of the director. The position will interface with clients as needed and travel to client facilities to measure physical dimensions for machinery and observe production lines. The position will provide assistance in the shop when required.
Key responsibilities:
Design & Drafting
Develop 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for machines, equipment, tooling, and sheet metal components.
Create fabrication drawings, weldments, flat patterns, and detailed sheet metal layouts.
Design custom machine components, frames, guards, brackets, and other mechanical parts.
Produce accurate BOMs (Bills of Material), tolerances, dimensions, and GD&T.
Engineering Support

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* 15-years experience in mechanical engineering consulting including experience with clients and public agencies and the private sector
* A thorough understanding of power generation regulations, and utility standards of practice
* Computer proficiency in applications within MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, MS Project)
* Knowledge of Autocad and BIM
* Excellent writing and oral communication skills required
* Demonstrated understanding of technical and contractual aspects of design and design-build projects
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and schedules.
* Successfully complete and pass a background check.
