    Licensed Mechanic / Engineer - Allen Hospital The Licensed Engineer ensures efficient and twenty-four-hour operation of equipment and utilities for the hospital's Facilities operation. Inspects buildings, grounds, and systems to ensure the maintenance of service utilities. Personnel understands the interactions required between the Boilers, HVAC equipment, and their effect on operating systems and comfort. Maintains and monitors all hot water, steam, utilities, fire, and fire safety systems by local, state, and federal codes. Responsible for evaluating situations, correcting problems, initiating, and making referrals via phone, email, and text to appropriate specialists, contractors, and departments as necessary. Evaluates and assesses works from prints or drawings. Inspect, monitor, and test mechanical systems associated with lighting, heating, air-Conditioning, plumbing, ventilation, medical air, fire & life Safety, pneumatic tube system, drainage, and water supplies to ensure maintenance. Makes emergency repairs pneumatic, mechanical and electrical systems to prevent or stop interruptions of utility services.
