Primary Purpose of Position
Responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks, under general supervision, in support of nuclear plant operations.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities

Understand the requirements of the feature and/or the schematics of the controller/control system, verify functionality and debug/report anomalies to the development team, and help validate fixes.
* Engineering Data Analytics: Ability to write and understand computer code, Python, analytics/data science experience, exposure to machine learning concepts/tools, engineering and statistics fundamentals.

Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:
Create new/ Update existing manufacturing process documentation, e.g., tooling lists, setup requirements, operations sequence for manufacturing, standard work, operator performed maintenance
Analyze requirements and make recommendations for assembly/machining process improvement, training, equipment needs
Provide engineering support to NPI Assembly/Machining groups. Provide support to introduction process of new parts
Responsible for process CI (Continuous improvement) cards

Conduct standard work audits
Evaluate and recommend changes to existing manufacturing practices in terms of work simplification, process optimization, cost reduction, quality improvement, plant layout and method improvements

Support design-for-assembly/manufacturability (DFA/DFM) projects and initiatives
Main point of contact for quality, shop floor and customers
Input deviations from non-conforming material to engineering
Manage/Follow test lots through value streams for exit inspections/capability studies
Champion PPM and scrap reduction
Engage in creative problem solving to address operational issues including: ergonomic/ safety, efficiency improvements, process bottlenecks, quality concerns
Foster and ensure operations safety at all times. Conduct safety risk assessments
Work with internal/external customers and partners to plan, execute and manage projects
Coordinate with Operations to define best practices and resolve complex manufacturing issues
Work with operations, tool design, programmers, engineers etc. to ensure proper development, implementation and support of engineering activities
Provide technical and analytical support as needed. Provide guidance and make critical decisions
Train operators on the standard work and develop training programs
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, MechanicalEngineering or similar field is required
Must have 2+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry
Basic knowledge of processing (machining/assembly ops), fixture design, and programming is required, experience preferred
Must have good blueprint reading skills and experience with GD&T
Analytical, technical, and problem solving skills
High energy and a demonstrated ability to implement and get results are essential
Detail oriented with troubleshooting and project leadership skills
Strong ability to handle a high workload and manage priorities is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills required

This position is Flex Time eligible, and hybrid working arrangements are possible. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related) required
4+ years of prior experience within the Public Works market, serving multiple clients required

Experience with funding and grants available to municipalities preferred

The salary for this position ranges from $79,081 to $126,529 per year commensurate with experience. Higher compensation within this range will be paid to candidates with significant experience and exceptional qualifications.

The Electrical and Automation DesignEngineer is primarily responsible for the engineeringdesign of Water/Wastewater technology, electrical power distribution, instrumentation and control systems. These systems typically include process instrumentation and automation, control panels, motor control centers, power monitoring and switchgear. Position Duties:
Reports to Director for work responsibilities, scheduling, and quality control.
Designs automation, controls, and related SCADA systems for water/wastewater processes, including communications, PLC architecture, instrumentation, and related software and hardware.

Prepares instrumentation and control system submittal packages.

Skills/Experience:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, MechanicalEngineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program.
4+ years' experience in electrical design preferred.
Advanced Computer Skills, Literacy, & Proficiency.
AutoCAD experience required; Revit experience is a plus.
Visio experience a plus or must be willing to be quickly trained.
SKM or other electrical study software is a plus.
Must possess effective oral, written, & digital communication skills.
Must be able to easily interact with other design staff.
Must possess effective organizational skills for productive task and time management.
Must be able to identify and solve problems in a timely manner.
