We have a current opportunity for a Staff Project Engineer to join our team in Goleta, CA. This role is responsible for project technical execution using a holistic approach to design, develop, evaluate, and modify products through their entire life cycle. Serves as Lead to the business unit in long-range planning concerning new or projected areas of technological research and advancements.
Responsibilities
Lead project to ensure the scope, schedule, staffing and budget are well defined and maintained.
Functions as technical lead of a program or project team.
Technical customer liaison and support for business development activities.
Responsible for the technical integrity of projects while providing technical guidance to clients, and departments at the brand, program, and project levels.
Act as a point of technical escalation and resolution during a project's lifecycle.
Non-conformance disposition authority.
Leads in design reviews, test plans and procedures to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements through compliance verification and validation.
Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
Reduces high level product development strategies into system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed requirements.
Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development.
Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.
Responsible for a projects technical/operational leadership within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and the customer.
Controls project costs through close control of system intent, aligning resources to project phases, and approving expenditures.
Defines, generates, reviews, presents project's required documentation.
Some travel required - an average of 10-15% travel may be required. Most of the travel is local but some overnight travel may be necessary.
Ideal Experience
B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or MechanicalEngineering
Minimum of 8+ years' experience, including developing, designing, manufacturing, and testing production hardware.
Must have well-rounded System Level approach, with previous experience leading technical teams.
Experience with space mechanismdesign and aerospace guidelines.
Proficient in CAD and PDM Systems.
Drafting knowledge with understanding of GD&T per ASME Y14.5 along with tolerance analysis capabilities.
Prior experience preparing and presenting project / program updates to all levels and customers.
Experience in the Root Cause Analysis process.
Desired Skills
M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, or other space-related discipline.
Experience with PDM Pro, SolidWorks, SolidWorks Simulation, Thermal Desktop, NASTRAN or ANSYS is a plus.

Position Responsibilities
* Assist in the design of mechanical components and systems, including airframes, payload enclosures, ground equipment, launch systems, and electro-mechanical assemblies

3 Key Consulting is hiring a Metrology Engineer for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global biopharmaceutical company.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in the using Standard or Primary Instrument Standard in pharmaceutical metrology. Additionally, the candidate will possess the ability to interact with various departments/teams and other client's sites to align/communicate the global calibration control program. Specific experience with multiple measurement disciplines in areas such as temperature, electronics in Primary Metrology laboratory.
Duties and responsibilities include:
1. Prepare calibration procedures/job plans and associated training materials.
2. Understanding of GMP regulations and Good Document Practices
3. Maintenance and calibration of instrument Standards
a. Electrical
b. Flow
c. Temperature
d. Optics
4. Understanding of measurement traceability
5. Working with Calibration Software
6. Programming skills with instruments using MATLAB, LabView Virtual instrument software architecture (VISA)
7. Good communication skills
8. Repair experience plus
EXPERIENCE
At least 4 years experience in metrology engineering at a large company primary standards laboratory level or comparable related technical activities, including application of advanced measurement engineering principles and technology related to highly complex technical assignments
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL
Experience in pharmaceutical or electro-mechanical metrology (or other related fields). Programming/controlling equipment with Visa, Labview or like software.
