Responsibilities
This role will be heavily active in the field during the construction phase of a project, coordinating with subcontractors and crews, verifying quality of work, answering engineering questions and/or resolving issues that may pop up in real time.
Assist in development of project plan as requested. Specifically, provide support to Project Manager(s) through helping to develop business cases by gathering requirements, building investment decision models, etc.
Collaborate with the Project Manager(s) in purchasing activities including scoping and take-offs.
Prepare and forward submittals. Confirm submittal complies with plans/specs.
Support the development and updating of the project schedule and subcontractor detail schedules.
Monitor and expedite material deliveries ensuring all deliveries conform with the project schedule.
Administer subcontracts as assigned.
Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent in the coordination of drawings.
Draft change orders. Solicit prices from subcontractors and suppliers. Perform scope take-off and estimate costs.
Aid in close out of project; includes assembling manuals and other warranties for turnover to owner and preparation final payment documents for subcontractors.
Act as the point person for document management applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or related degree or equivalent experience.
Must have 1-3 years of experience in the related field.
Working knowledge of multiple engineering disciplines such as civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, piping, geotechnical, and surveying.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and prepare them when applicable.
Ability to read and understand Project financial documents and budgets and prepare them when applicable.
MS Excel, MS Project, and AutoCAD/SolidWorks experience preferred.

A well-established civil engineering firm in Houston, TX is looking to add a Project Engineer with a Hydrology & Hydraulics (H&H) background to their growing team. This person will help lead the design and permitting of drainage and infrastructure projects across both public and private sectors, while mentoring junior staff and managing key client relationships. The firm works on a variety of municipal and land development projects throughout the region, including extensive work with the Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD).
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for public infrastructure and private development projects.
• Perform watershed and 1D/2D analyses for drainage, detention, and flood control design.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Prepare and review technical reports, design documents, and proposals.
• Collaborate across civil and environmental disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, helping build technical and professional skills.
• Participate in client meetings and help identify opportunities for new or follow-up work.
• Coordinate with HCFCD and other local agencies on design and permitting requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas required.
• Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant civil or drainage design experience.
• Proven experience working on Harris County Flood Control District projects.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and common H&H modeling tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple projects and leading small teams.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Job Description:

The Technical Leader, Domain Expertise, will provide Technical Leadership and mentorship in various sections or systems of the overall gasification Process for Gasification Chemical Process Engineers.
·
In this role you will be responsible for process design of the gasification and the development of the gasification subsystems.
·
The respective candidate will also have the ability to review all the process design documents, such as; PFD, PID & PDS, including extended scope for PDP/PIPs.
·
You will function as a Technical Integration Leader for such projects and lead and coordinate project execution of global Client and JV teams in USA, India and China.
·
Communicate with customers, users, Licensees, EPC, Design Institutes and internal Client Product Line, Commercial and Sales Review and develop process design documents, such as; PFD, PID & PDS, etc.
·
Develop sizing of key process equipment including vessels, tanks, heat exchangers, pumps and other miscellaneous equipment.
·
Develop sizing tools and criteria of key process plant equipment.
·
Develop and optimize process configurations based upon project requirements, including water cycles required for overall chemical plant integration.
·
Provide proposal support for Feasibility Studies, PDP (Process Design Package), PIP (Process Information Package), FEED (Front End Engineering Design), PS (Product Supply) and EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) quotes for Gasification projects for SOH (Scrubber Over Head) Licensing, IGCC (Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle, PolyGen and Chemical Applications.

Extensive Gasification experience including historical gasification development and Client specific Gasification plant commissioning, start-up and system issue resolution knowledge.
·
20 year experience or more than 15 year experience in a Technical leadership position with Process Systems Engineering
