Summary: The Mechanical Engineer will provide mechanical engineering expertise with primary emphasis on rotating equipment to ensure reliable operation and perform project engineering functions as required for maintenance and improvement projects. This position will primarily support the Nederland Terminal and its affiliated locations as well as other facilities as needed. The position will be located in Nederland, TX. Responsibilities: * Provide mechanical engineering support to maintenance and operations. * Work with equipment OEMs to resolve issues, perform overhauls, and review spare parts recommendations. * Provide mechanical engineering expertise in the troubleshooting and resolution of equipment failures, the selection and evaluation of plant equipment, and the operation of rotating equipment. * Identify equipment bad actors by working closely with maintenance and operations, monitoring mean time between failures, and reviewing work order history and cost. Perform root cause analysis to identify solutions to eliminate chronic equipment problems. * Work with vibration analysts reviewing data and recommend appropriate corrective action. * Evaluate, recommend, design, and implement modifications to equipment, procedures, and processes to improve the reliability or reduce the cost of the assets * Develop, implement, and evaluate preventive maintenance programs * Recommend and establish spare parts for new and existing equipment. * Prepare equipment specifications and purchase requests. * Maintain equipment repair records and logs - evaluate repair costs and trends. * Assist in developing shutdown budget and scope. * Assist in developing site annual budget for Operation & Maintenance and capital projects. * Oversee major equipment repairs and overhauls. * Evaluates / audits repair shops to ensure quality. * Provide project engineering and management for small capital projects. This includes estimating and submitting project for approval and management of the project through start-up and project closure. * Control project costs by providing budget projections and maintaining a constant awareness of projects status in relation to approve budget. * Instruct maintenance and operations personnel on new equipment and procedures as required. * Assure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and operating permits. * Actively participates in the site's Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (HESS) programs to assure a safe and environmentally sound workplace. * Complete any additional responsibilities assigned by Management. We are looking for team members that have a proven track record of providing support, have strong intrapersonal and communication skills, and are self-motivated and self-directed to be a part of our transformation from an import facility to the premier LNG exporter in North America. The Machinery Engineer, reporting to the Machinery & Reliability Engineering Supervisor, serves as a technical authority for machinery. This role involves input to maintenance strategies and planning, enhancing system performance utilizing various surveillance tools. Additionally, the Machinery Engineer collaborates within the Company to promote continuous improvement in asset maintenance and operations, ensuring optimal asset availability. This position has responsibilities during the Operations Readiness stage and will phase Operations support after plant start up. The Machinery Engineer will support all rotating equipment within Golden Pass, including the new LNG Plant, Pipeline compression facilities, and the existing Import terminal. Primary Duties * Support NAM integrators with the introduction and integration of new products. * In collaboration with Technical Solutions Manager, actively pursue ideas in developing market needs/strategies and value-added activities. * Support Sales Team in selling, training, demonstrating, and validating ESAB Robotic Solutions * Writing technical reports to support integration and training. * Organizing and keeping the Denton Demo lab in order and ready to show to Integrators and end users. * This role would work with Robotic Solutions Manager to support activities in our Denton laboratory working on productivity solutions and travels to customers in North America. * Other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree in Welding Engineering or equivalent experience in applications or welding engineering role. * Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in Robotic integration and/or Robotic Welding Role. * Demonstrated technical abilities, and experience with welding processes including but not limited to Robotic GMAW and GTAW. * Demonstrated technical competency in FCAW, GMAW, GTAW welding for general fabrication. * Demonstrated experience with qualifying welding procedures to the AWS (D1.1 or D1.5) and/or ASME codes, including writing PQRs and WPSs * Demonstrated ability to perform all processes in all positions robotically at the instructor level. Working Conditions * Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing. * Must wear Personal Protective Equipment 'PPE' when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations. * Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones. * Moves transports, puts, or removes equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.; pushes, pulls products weighing up to 200 lbs. using provided safety tools. * May be exposed to varying weather during travel. * Domestic travel requires support for engineering/sales activities 10%-20%

Candidates will take on a leadership role in the development and execution of mechanical engineering projects. This position requires extensive experience and expertise in mechanical equipment design, process piping systems, and the application of industry standards and codes. You will oversee complex projects from the early FEL (Front End Loading) stages through detailed design, manage RFQs, and make critical decisions in equipment selection and design for refineries, chemical, and process plants.
