**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Design and analyze mechanical components throughout the gas power product portfolio.
- Perform thermal, stress, and modal analysis of components within the gas turbine, steam, generator, aeroderivative, and powerplant accessory space.
- Conduct testing and validation of new and existing designs and analyze post-test data.
- Create design documentation, including drawings, layouts, and diagrams.
- Lead engineering focal for new Qualifications supporting GEV and supplier production.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and develop corrective actions (CAPA) to improve product reliability, quality, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize designs.
- Take technical ownership of mechanical hardware and apply mechanical principles.
- Work within teams for project execution and process improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders ie. Controlled Title Holders, analysis experts, and global sites.
- Comply with R&D processes, manage milestones, and seek peer validation.
- Support tendering bids with specific calculations and recommendations.
- Participate in peer and design reviews, solving complex analytical problems.
- Embrace Lean principles and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
**Required Qualifications**
- B.S. in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Aeronautical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in Mechanical or Fluids Engineering and/or Quality.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
* Gain knowledge about the operating procedures, process control plans and various products at one of our Cement plants.
* Understand various mechanical, maintenance, and production operations.
* Collate data, establish process correlations and develop strategies for capital projects.
* Acquire firsthand knowledge on how to ensure maximum process equipment capacity usage through continuous monitoring and improvement of process control parameters.
* Will be assigned to a real job/task and expected to make a contribution that will have an impact on the business.
* Utilize various skill sets/knowledge during day-to-day operations and to achieve team/company goals.
* Create a presentation at the end of your internship to executive leadership regarding what you have learned and what you believe you have contributed to the business.

SCHEDULE AND ENVIRONMENT
* Work Schedule: This is an onsite role with a mandatory 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, working an 8-hour shift each day.
* In this internship position, you will be working in a cement manufacturing/production environment. Within this environment, you will be exposed to moving mechanical equipment, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and more.
* You will be responsible for your own transportation to and from your worksite for the summer.
* Throughout the duration of your internship, you may be required to travel for site tours, shadow experiences, or intern events.
