About the role
We're looking for a visionary Principal Analytics Platform Engineer to lead the architectural strategy and engineering of our next-generation analytics platform. This platform will serve both external clients and internal teams, delivering dynamic data visualizations, actionable insights, and AI-augmented recommendations through a highly customized ABI (Analytics & Business Intelligence) solution.
The ideal candidate combines strong engineering expertise with a deep understanding of data platforms and analytics products. You will guide platform selection, design system integration patterns, and lead technical execution to ensure a cohesive, scalable, and intuitive analytics experience-driven by business needs and user expectations.
Location: This position is located at our Dublin, OH campus with hybrid flexibility or may work remotely anywhere in the United States of America.
What you'll do (Essential Responsibilities)
Serve as the technical lead for embedding and customizing ABI platforms (e.g., Apache Superset, AWS QuickSight, or similar) into a unified client-facing analytics experience.
Define and drive architectural direction for an extensible analytics delivery platform that supports multiple audiences and use cases.
Partner with product, engineering, AI, and analytics teams to translate requirements into scalable design and platform capabilities.
Establish platform integration standards-handling identity, data access, visualization layers, and extensibility frameworks.
Lead implementation of platform components, data APIs, and backend systems supporting real-time and scheduled insights.
Develop frameworks and reusable components that accelerate feature delivery while ensuring maintainability and security.
Ensure the analytics platform adheres to security best practices, including data protection, access control, and secure deployment patterns.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks to maintain a stable, secure, and compliant analytics environment.
Mentor engineering staff and influence cross-functional delivery teams with technical leadership and best practices.
Stay current on emerging ABI, data platform, and embedded analytics trends to inform platform evolution.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the broader goals of the team and organization.

What you'll bring (Qualifications)
Experience: 8+ years in software or analytics engineering with deep experience delivering ABI platforms or data-driven applications.
Demonstrated experience embedding or extending modern ABI platforms to support product use cases, especially for client-facing applications.
Strong backend and frontend engineering skills, especially in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript-based environments.
Deep knowledge of data modeling, querying (SQL), and connecting analytics platforms to modern data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).
Experience with authentication/authorization integration, multi-tenancy, and performance tuning in analytics applications.
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, Platform Systems Modernization (PSM) Operating Unit (OU) is seeking a Staff Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our Lake Charles, LA facility. Our team provides customers with support Special Mission Aircraft (SMA) heavy maintenance and modifications. This business area focuses on the support, design, analysis, modification, integration, ground and flight testing, airworthiness certification, and logistics support of airborne ISR platforms that are primarily highly modified commercial-derivative aircraft. This includes both Mission Equipment Package (MEP) Support, Platform Maintenance, and Platform/System Modification.
The Staff Mechanical Engineer should have knowledge of and experience with aircraft structural design/analysis as well as the various military, space, or aerospace standards commonly used in the defense and aerospace realm. In addition, the candidate should be familiar with aircraft maintenance and modification operations.
Roles and Responsibilities:
The candidate will provide liaison support and develop detailed structural analyses in support of drawing release or aircraft repairs including but not limited to free body diagrams, internal or external loading and calculation of internal stresses. These analyses will be in support of Material Review Board (MRB), Aircraft Structural Integrity Program (ASIP) and fleet management activities.
The candidate should have knowledge of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), large transport aircraft structural design criteria, nonstandard repairs, and equivalent strength analysis.
Provides technical guidance to liaison engineers in the design and substantiation of aircraft structural modification integration and/or repairs.

This role supports engineering, production, and manufacturing teams by ensuring designs meet functional requirements, cost objectives, safety standards, and manufacturability guidelines. The Designer will work primarily in an office/shop environment producing designs and specifications under the direction of the director. The position will interface with clients as needed and travel to client facilities to measure physical dimensions for machinery and observe production lines. The position will provide assistance in the shop when required.
Key responsibilities:
Design & Drafting
Develop 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings for machines, equipment, tooling, and sheet metal components.
Create fabrication drawings, weldments, flat patterns, and detailed sheet metal layouts.
Design custom machine components, frames, guards, brackets, and other mechanical parts.
Produce accurate BOMs (Bills of Material), tolerances, dimensions, and GD&T.
Engineering Support
Collaborate with engineers, machinists, fabricators, and project managers to refine design requirements.
Modify designs based on testing, prototyping, and customer feedback.
Ensure designs comply with industry standards, safety requirements, and internal engineering practices.
Participate in design reviews and support continuous improvement efforts.
Manufacturing Integration
Work closely with manufacturing to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and easy to fabricate.
Provide guidance on material selection, sheet metal thickness, bends, tolerances, and fastening methods.
Support CNC programming, laser cutting, waterjet, press brake, machining, and welding processes.
Project Coordination
Manage multiple design tasks and assist with project schedules.
Communicate design status, risks, and required information to project leads.
Maintain document control and revision history for all design files
Requirements
Associate or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Design, Drafting Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
PE License Preferred.
3-5 years of experience in mechanical design, machine design, or sheet metal design. AutoCad in both 2D or 3D (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

This compensation range is a good faith estimate pursuant to applicable equal pay and pay transparency laws. The pay range below is effective for 2026 and based on highest degree achieved. The actual salary offered will be based on several factors including the candidate's experience, qualifications, and work location.
