Position Description:
Responsibilities will include:
Use Autodesk AutoCAD 2024 software.Use model and paper space modes.
Produce construction installation and station rearrangement layouts.?

Translate field sketches, record drawings, as-built drawings, photographs, verbal and written information into 2-D AutoCAD drawings.

Required Skills:

Overview:
The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring projects proceed safely, accurately, and smoothly. This position reports to, collaborates with, and follows the direction of the Project Manager and Superintendent.

Obtain material quotes from suppliers and submit purchase orders for approval.

Track invoices, receipts for field purchase orders and maintain field purchase order files.
Create and file documentation (e.g., correspondence, reports) in Primavera and expedition on a daily basis to follow-up on and/or summarize project issues, agreements, communications with owners and subcontractors, etc.
Review, understand plans, and drawings for heavy civil projects.

The Mechanical Products Team (MPT), Shipboard Effectors Department is seeking a Principal MechanicalEngineer for our LouisvilleKY site in both development and production support across multiple programs.
This Principal MechanicalEngineering position performs in alignment to expectations in the design, development and production support areas associated with mechanical designs, validation principals, qualification processes, procurement, and production processes across a design life cycle. Development work may include requirements understanding, concept development, DFMAs, PFMAs, margin analysis, technical data package (TDP) development, application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principals, engineering test principals, preparation of technical analysis reports, and presentations in design reviews.
This position is in on-site and located in Louisville, KY.
What You Will Do:
Creation and maintenance of detailed engineering documentation
Be seen as a Subject Matter Expert for Mechanical Design issues providing mentorship, development and review of lower-level Engineer's work.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders to gain alignment.
Developing technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems related to the entire product life cycle including design, production, integration and test and design solutions for multiple systems.
Meet cost, schedule, quality, and performance requirements for the finished product.
Coordinate with other disciplines in the development of design verification test plans, qualification test plans, and producible designed
Occasional travel to suppliers may be required to resolve production issues, technical performance issues or attend critical program engineering reviews.
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
8 years of professional experience in mechanical design or related industry
Experience with CAD solid modeling tools and analysis tools
Experience with applying and interpreting GD&T
Ability to obtain and maintain active U.S. government issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
