Position Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs tasks during construction administration including review of submittals, site investigations, and RFI response under the direction of the Project Engineer
Performs design and takeoff computations by hand and by computer software
Organizes multiple projects and tasks and completes them in a timely manner, on schedule, and per PEC Standards
Organize project information and files according to corporate standard practices and workflows
Effectively communicates and coordinates with the Design Team to complete design tasks on numerous projects
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion

The adequacy of such background must be demonstrated by one of the following:
* Professional registration or licensure -- Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico. Absent other means of qualifying under this standard, those applicants who achieved such registration by means other than written test (e.g., State grandfather or eminence provisions) are eligible only for positions that are within or closely related to the specialty field of their registration. For example, an applicant who attains registration through a State Board's eminence provision as a manufacturing engineer typically would be rated eligible only for manufacturing engineering positions.
* Written Test -- Evidence of having successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination or any other written test required for professional registration by an engineering licensure board in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
* Specified academic courses -- Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A. The courses must be fully acceptable toward meeting the requirements of an engineering program as described in paragraph A.
* Related curriculum -- Successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in an appropriate scientific field, e.g., engineering technology, physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology, may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree in engineering, provided the applicant has had at least 1 year of professional engineering experience acquired under professional engineering supervision and guidance. Ordinarily there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions. (The above examples of related curricula are not all inclusive.)

JOB SUMMARY
The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, managing, and executing all aspects of capital expenditure projects throughout the lifecycle of the project. This position will coordinate between various stakeholders and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Assist with monitoring expenditure, track financial progress, and ensure that all costs remain within the allocated budget
Coordinate activities between operations, onsite contractors, and sub-contractors in each phase of the project
Resolve challenges using past experience and offer solutions to keep projects on track
Provide technical supervision and design expertise around preparing plant pad sites including coordinating surveying, Geotech studies, soil stabilization, foundation design, utilities, grading, site elements, and drainage
Provide technical supervision of concrete construction, plant erection, power distribution, dust suppression, automation, and plant commissioning
Implement project safety plans and ensure compliance with MSHA guidelines through use of training, catwalk talks, and communication with Health, Safety and Environmental team members
Prepare cost and material estimates, schedules, work plans, and daily logs
Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement strategies to optimize financial performance
Participate in activities such as punch lists, safety reviews, quality reviews, and documentation preparation when necessary
Organize and participate in various project meetings and conference calls
Provide progress updates and reports to management and the project team including daily reports, weekly progress reports, and monthly project accounting updates

**What You'll Do**
+ **Project controls & docs:** Own RFIs, submittals, change orders (COR/CO), meeting minutes, and logs.
