What you will work on:
Create and develop programs that will support process improvements to safely meet Warrick Operations' business plan.
Coordinate all phases of assigned area mechanicalengineering projects from concept, scope development, written specifications, bid solicitations, design, manufacturing, equipment commissioning, and project closure.
Assist production and maintenance with equipment and process issues.
Function as a problem solver, applying theory and experience to develop process improvements and accurately identifying problems by submitting sound recommendations for long-term improvements of equipment and processes.
Lead and participate in process improvements with multi-discipline technical staff, maintenance and production.
Mentor employees to increase their process knowledge and support their career growth

About you:

Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing custom machinery, tooling, and automated equipment for all MasterBrand facilities from concept through installation and start-up. This role includes full project management responsibilities, ensuring successful execution from initial concept and estimation to final implementation. Qualifications

Job Description
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for designing custom machinery, tooling, and automated equipment for all MasterBrand facilities from concept through installation and start-up. This role includes full project management responsibilities, ensuring successful execution from initial concept and estimation to final implementation. The engineer will work closely with internal customers to fully understand current needs and anticipate future requirements, delivering innovative and cost-effective solutions that improve productivity and safety. The position also involves strategic and predictive planning to ensure designs meet both current and future operational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead projects from concept development through design, installation, and commissioning.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and predict future needs.
* Develop strategic plans for equipment and process improvements to meet long-term goals.
* Design mechanisms, subsystems, and complete machines involving mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical components using SolidWorks.
* Perform engineering calculations related to strength of materials, speeds, horsepower, temperature, pressures, and forces.
* Produce bills of materials and detailed drawings, ensuring accuracy, proper material selection, and cost efficiency.
* Manage equipment testing, installation, and start-up activities.
* Develop manuals & TPM documentation for equipment.

Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in engineering roles focused on automated equipment design.
* Bachelor of Science in MechanicalEngineering or MechanicalEngineering Technology, or 5+ years in the design of automated assembly machinery.
* Strong knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD.
* Proven project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
* Ability to anticipate future operational needs and translate them into design solutions.
