Diodes Incorporated is seeking a full-time equipment engineer to join our talented manufacturing team.
This position requires a flexible schedule and the willingness to work occasional overtime. You will be responsible for multiple activities with respect to future planning, project execution, maintenance and repair of semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
These activities would include deliverables such as troubleshooting and repairs, continuous improvements to help with availability, cost savings and OEE. Good written skills for creating and updating activity checklists, corrective and preventative maintenance procedures, and specification updates, as well as good interpersonal skills to provide clear technician direction and training and present data to management. Must have good project execution acumen, strong semiconductor equipment experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and taking ownership of equipment within your assigned area.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Working hours: 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday. OT is expected in order to keep your assigned area running as smoothly as possible.
Work is performed within a clean room environment that requires the wearing of a smock, hood, booties, latex gloves, and safety glasses.
Requires the use of airline respirator.
Requires occasional wearing of personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, aprons, gauntlets, and full-face masks.
Requires lifting of objects that weigh up to 50 lbs.
May require work with hazardous gases, chemicals, and high voltages.
Troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electro-pneumatic systems.
Consistently directs one's own work at a high level and demonstrates advanced leadership skills for small teams and is sought out as a subject matter expert for assigned area.
Follows procedures without deviation and update them as needed.
Discusses repair and maintenance requirements with peers and balances work with available talent.
Reviews tool histories for all area tools looking for common themes and proposes improvements / repairs and executes on them.
Identifies abnormal tool conditions and execute corrective actions.
Has clear technical knowledge of the equipment and its sub-systems within area assigned.
Has process knowledge enough to understand recipes and the desired outcomes.
Understands and uses SPC charts to identify failure modes.
Responsible for the completion of all scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and repair procedures in a timely, accurate, and safe manner within assigned area.
A safety-minded approach is required: employees must be able to learn, understand and follow all safety documentation, specs and protocol, including LOTO. Must also be able to identify any/all safety concerns and regulatory violations in order to eliminate them.
May possibly be cross trained in other areas as needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ability to perform He-Leak checks of gas and vacuum systems.

What you can expect to be doing:
Haley Ward is looking for a Civil Project Engineer who will plan, organize, design and control the activities of projects to best accomplish the successful completion of all projects to which assigned while operating within the guidelines established by the Project Manager, and within established schedules, budgets, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) policy constraints. Enrollment, and compliance tracking of subcontractor insurance certificates.
Field Reporting: Ensure field activities are tracked and reported to related parties.
Punch List: Upload and distribute the punch list through Procore to subcontractors. Assist with coordinating work completion as required and maintain an accurate log of items to be completed.
Observations and Field Reports: work with project team to conduct field walks as necessary and compile any corresponding documentation accordingly. Review Design Team field reports and work with required parties to resolve open items and drive resolution.
Safety: perform regular safety walks with field and safety staff and record observations.
Photos: track project progress with photos of the job site on a regular basis. Photos shall be tagged and uploaded to Procore.
Material Delivery: Thorough knowledge of anticipated delivery dates for materials and equipment to the site.
Create, update and maintain an accurate material delivery log for all materials and equipment on the project.
Obtain current information from subcontractors on a consistent basis regarding the status of their materials and when they are expected onsite.
Ensure timely communication of potential delays to the entire project team.
Understand and communicate long lead item impacts to the design team during the submittal review process and request expediting of submittal review where required.
Material verification on-site: confirm the delivered material corresponds to the submitted material to avoid potential field issues.
Project Meetings:
Generate and update agendas for the various project meetings with input from the project team.
Track project meeting commitments and action items and distribute minutes to project stakeholders in a timely manner.
Reporting: report on, at a minimum, submittals, RFI's and critical project issues.
Coordinate and support pre-job and subcontractor safety and quality meetings.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Interface with client and design team throughout the entire project.
Develop relationships with all stakeholders on the project.
Collaborate with the other team members in establishing and implementing project goals.
Management and inventory of job site office consumables.
Communicate with subcontractors on a daily basis.

What you can expect to be doing:
Haley Ward is looking for a Civil Project Engineer who will plan, organize, design and control the activities of projects to best accomplish the successful completion of all projects to which assigned while operating within the guidelines established by the Project Manager, and within established schedules, budgets, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) policy constraints. Typical projects will entail design of residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional site plans. Projects will include site layout and grading as well as utility design (i.e. sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water system, etc.) typically associated with land development work.
Responsibilities
Supports project team toward preparation of a professional, economical, and effective set of plans and specifications for each individual project.
Conducts engineering computations to design difficult and complex engineering projects.
Communicates directly with governmental/regulatory staff relative to design concepts and requirements. Represents clients at regulatory agency hearings or meetings.
Performs overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans) and reports regularly on project status to Project Manager.
Monitors compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
Responsible for the design concept of the plans and specifications.
Consults and advises field engineers, contractors, and inspectors regarding the construction phase of the project.
Communicates with the Project Manager on project strategy and matters that may impact the outcome of a project.
Assists in preparation of project proposals including scope of work, time schedule, and manpower estimates.
Promotes new business for the total company and for own area of expertise.
What you will need to succeed:
BS in Civil Engineering required.
Professional Engineer (PE) license with a minimum of 4 years of related experience OR Engineer in Training (EIT) on track to attain PE license with a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
Sound mathematical skills are required.
A working knowledge of software such as AutoCAD is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Valid driver's license & reliable transportation required.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in both office and field settings. Outdoor work is subject to temperature extremes and inclement weather conditions. Work hours are flexible and are subject to change based upon project schedules. Frequent site visits may be necessary.
