Job Summary
EDA is seeking a competent Technical-Focused Project Manager (known Internally as an EDA Project Engineer) who specializes in either Low Slope Roofing or Exterior Facade scopes.
The Project Engineer will interface with internal project teams to assist with their particular needs by serving as the dedicated team member tasked with researching and providing all required technical support to our PM teams by gaining profound knowledge of our projects, assisting with product selection, creating submittals, overseeing 3rd party shop drawings and engineering calculations, along with providing material take-offs and material order lists with professional oversight and solutions to challenges with design and field conditions. A Project Engineer will work with various departments from project management to shop fabrication and field operations, in order to ensure balance across various aspects of the project from constructability, sequencing and coordination to fabrication and install. Additionally, a Project Engineer will strive to improve by continuing to learn and research advanced technology regarding best practices in the field leading to cost-effective solutions.
A Project Engineer is generally located within the company and works alongside other professionals to meet customer's needs. They usually begin as Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers, and as they advance on their career path within the company will become transitioned to the role of Project Engineer through training and/or previous experience and technical knowledge of our scopes of work. Individuals with a firm holistic understanding of both the operational and scope aspects of projects tend to excel in this position.
You'll be a member of our brilliant engineering team, contributing to the design and construction of new cutting-edge architecture. To be successful in this position, you should have hands-on experience with project management, advanced technical knowledge of building envelopes, strong attention to detail and an in-depth understanding of construction details, sequencing and coordination. Job Responsibilities
Obtain expert knowledge of a project by researching and studying contract documents
Develop and manage relationships with manufacturers and vendors

Summary objective: Manages jet mill projects, requiring multiple engineering disciplines. Acts as project manager and communicates with the vendor, sales, and management teams to relay any issues and ensure all aspects of the project are on track.
Requirements
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage Projects based on the project objectives as set by the OEM Technical Director by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
Studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards; completing technical studies.
Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
Communicate with vendors for quotes and deliver specifications. Write purchase orders, communicating expectations and timelines, track open purchase orders and communicate errors or quality concerns.
Coordinate Licensing
Identify and qualify new vendors
Create blueprints and 3D models
Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.
Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
Maintains KPI a set of short and long term KPI
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities New Product Development - 70% * Mechanical design prime for optical communication module, line cards and/or chassis * Perform fast turn mechanical and thermal feasibility analysis for customer RFQs. * Perform mechanical and thermal analysis required to verify design performance and reliability against specifications
* Produce 3D and 2D drawings for assemblies and components, DXF for PCB,
* Perform DFMEA with engineering team DFM with internal and external vendors
* Prioritize and manage schedule when working on multiple designs in parallel.

Education & Experience
* Bachelor degree or above in Mechanical design, Manufacturing and Automation or other relevant fields
* 5+ years of experience in mechanical design/simulation/test engineering, experience in telecommunication industry is preferred.
* Experience with Solid works software
* Experience with fiber optics products and assembly procedures
* Experience with Office applications.
Skills & Other Requirements
* In-depth technical knowledge and understanding the basic guide of mechanical design and tolerance analysis, sheet metal design, CNC part design, plastic design, die-casting design etc.
* The knowledge of heatsinking and thermal design in fan cooled systems: thermal pads, thermal shim, thermal grease, heatsink design and attachment.
* Excellent skills with Solid works, Mechanical DVT and test methods
* Strong ability to solve complex problems and arrive at sound technical decisions in short timeframes
* Knowledge of Telecom and Data Center environmental and mechanical requirements
* English both written and oral. Chinese may be a benefit.
Working Conditions
