VDC PROJECT ENGINEER
The VDC Project Engineer supports the execution of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) activities across assigned projects. This role focuses on supporting VDC Project Managers by learning various VDC roles, maintaining VDC content and standards, and contributing to marketing and estimating efforts as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or equivalent AEC industry experience.
Minimum of 2 internship experiences with documentation of overall opportunities and responsibilities assigned.
Preferred:
Strong understanding of commercial design and construction processes
Basic understanding of the value that BIM and VDC can provide projects.
Familiarity with laser scanning and application of deliverables derived from scan data.
Part 107 certification preferred; experience using drones and associated software to support project documentation.

Job Responsibilities:
Support VDC Project Managers in the production of VDC deliverables for assigned projects.
Support VDC leaders with updating VDC content libraries and standard work documentation.
Develop 3D models for site logistics, phase planning, virtual mockups, and MEP coordination.
Utilize BIM for visualization, constructability reviews, and design coordination.
Collaborate on the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans.
Create 2D/3D/4D/5D deliverables using Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Fuzor, and cm Builder per project requirements.
Support and facilitate 3D coordination and clash detection efforts with design teams, subcontractors, and fabricators.
Provide training and technical support to project team members on accessing and using VDC deliverables and BIM tools.
Contribute lessons learned and support continuous improvement across VDC processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, the base salary range for this position is $77,000- $87,100, excluding fringe benefits or potential bonuses. The VDC Project Engineer supports the execution of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) activities across assigned projects. This role focuses on supporting VDC Project Managers by learning various VDC roles, maintaining VDC content and standards, and contributing to marketing and estimating efforts as assigned.

* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Science, or equivalent AEC industry experience.
* Minimum of 2 internship experiences with documentation of overall opportunities and responsibilities assigned.

* Utilize BIM for visualization, constructability reviews, and design coordination.
* Collaborate on the development and implementation of BIM Execution Plans.
* Create 2D/3D/4D/5D deliverables using Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, Bluebeam, Fuzor, and cm Builder per project requirements.
* Support and facilitate 3D coordination and clash detection efforts with design teams, subcontractors, and fabricators.
* Provide training and technical support to project team members on accessing and using VDC deliverables and BIM tools.
* Contribute lessons learned and support continuous improvement across VDC processes.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

In this role you will get to:
Create, improve and facilitate legacy products engineering documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), 3D models and drawings.
Conduct root cause analysis to resolve issues and implement corrective actions as part of Trystar's continuous improvement program.
Support a smooth handover of new products from engineering to manufacturing by participating in DFM/DFA reviews and ensuring lessons learned adherence.
Generate, track and coordinate Engineering Change Orders (ECO) for production collaborating with internal teams.
Identify, promote and implement modularity within the product and across different products for design efficiency.
Vet new opportunities, and recommend product changes/improvements to enhance product manufacturability and/or reduce cost
Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in MechanicalEngineering or an equivalent.
15+ years of experience in manufacturing floor support/product design.
Experienced in engineering detailed drawings, and BOM in a high product customization manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with engineering change implementation.
