DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Mechanic Supervisor to develop essential skills for safe and efficient work in an automotive garage. You will learn to perform general repairs and maintenance on cars and light trucks, assisting with various tasks as needed. Once you demonstrate your knowledge, you will be able to use power, hand, and air tools effectively. Maintaining a clean work area and properly caring for tools and equipment will also be part of your responsibilities. It is essential to ask questions whenever you face uncertainties or new challenges, and to consistently practice safety procedures.
You will gain a foundational understanding of general repairs and preventative maintenance, including oil changes, tire replacements, brake inspections, and more. Additionally, you will learn to document repairs, comprehend work orders, and handle tools and equipment properly. Emphasizing safety is crucial, as you will be trained to observe and follow safety protocols in the garage, including handling hazardous materials. As you progress, you may assist more experienced tradespeople with complex repairs, such as engine rebuilds or transmission work. The role may also require travel to various work sites and participation in field activities across the District and state. If the student is a minor, the student will be driven by the supervisor or staff member for any travel within the workday.

Senior enrolled in High School 2025-2026 - The internship would be available through the 2025-2026 school year.

Job Summary:
The MechanicalEngineer supports the safe, timely, and cost-effective execution of assigned capital projects within aluminum extrusion, fabrication, and billet casting facilities. These projects typically range in value from $1 million to $40 million and may involve the refurbishment of existing equipment or the installation of new systems. Required Education/Experience

The team operates around 50 sites in 32 states with a robust development pipeline.
About the role The Principal Facilities Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support to operating the Assai Renewal Natural Gas (RNG) plant located in Throop, PA.
A key asset for Archaea Energy, this facility converts landfill gas, collected at the landfill, into pipeline quality natural gas (High Btu or Renewable Natural Gas).
The facility processes the landfill gas by removing the majority of the non-methane components including CO2, Nitrogen, water, sulfur and volatile and non-volatile organic compounds to attain pipeline quality gas.
The support will range from plant optimization to small upgrade projects.
This role will work closely with Operations and Maintenance personnel at the plant in support of achieving plant runtime and production KPI's.
They will also work closely with in-house Engineering teams and 3rd party Engineering Contractors to develop workpack deliverables for plant modifications.
A key accountability will be maintaining and updating Process Safety Information for the plant.
The successful candidate must be able to report to the plant in Throop, PA at least 3 days per week.
You must live near the site or be willing to relocate to report into the site to be considered for the role.

What You'll Bring:
+ B.S. degree in Environmental Engineering or a degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on water/wastewater required
+ E.I.T. Preferred, PE a Plus
+ 2-5 years experience working in the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering. Prior water/wastewater experience is highly desired
+ Working with AutoCAD and Civil 3D will be required
