About This Position: A Project Engineer functions as a fully competent engineer in all aspects of the subject matter of assignments. Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities to be carried out by junior staff. Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposal preparation. Generally performs as a staff advisor and consultant as to a technical specialty or a program function. Typical projects include bridge and culvert rehabilitations and replacements, retaining wall design, miscellaneous structural design for transportation infrastructure, and construction engineering support. Project Engineers often require efforts outside normal business hours to meet client requests and/or attend meetings.
