This position will be based in North Phoenix, Arizona Duties: * Implement detailed scope and collaboration with facility project engineers. * Managing projects from initiation to completion; communicating project updates to other team members, clients, and administrative staff; ensuring that Exponent meets its deadlines and produces exceptional work product; and identifying business development opportunities. * Advise CAD drafters in developing the piping design. * Supervise all construction types of work including pipe drawing, piping, wall, and floor opening, pipe rack, equipment foundation, equipment locating and welding argon management, management of electric panels for construction, punch management, and improvement. * Learn and understand existing architectures and make changes as needed for efficiency, safety, and reliability. * Conduct onsite visits and coordinate with construction crew and operations personnel * Establish and manage relations with independent contractors and vendors. * Continuously streamline and optimize existing processes and functions. * Prepare material picking lists, purchasing requests, and daily and weekly reports to the project managers. * Record progress and update the construction table. Internship Opportunity - Heavy Civil Construction We are seeking motivated interns to join our heavy civil construction team. This role provides hands-on experience supporting large-scale projects while working alongside experienced professionals in the field. Interns will assist with project coordination, technical reviews, safety monitoring, and communication with multiple stakeholders, including owners, design partners, subcontractors, and field crews. Key Duties and Responsibilities * Instill Safety as a top priority. * Support a team of construction coworkers. * Build relationships and communicate with coworkers, owners, design partners, and subcontractors. * Review and draft technical submittals such as schedules, shop drawings, work plans, etc. * Monitoring quality control, safety, and environmental programs. * Understand and assist with project layout. * Identify critical work items and procure long-lead items. * Assist with contract administration, including budget and change procedures. * Assist with material procurement, including logistics. * Work together to resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors, suppliers, and the workforce. * Maintaining as-built drawings & manuals. Experience, Education & Skills Preferred * Strong communication skills, both written and oral. * Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies. * Pursuing a degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or equivalent experience. * Desire to grow and develop a career and mentor other coworkers. * Must have a valid Driver's License. . .
