Principal Responsibilities

Skilled in AutoCAD and/or Building Information Modeling (BIM) software;
Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups;

Designer will work with Healthcare Mechanical Engineer and/or Healthcare Team Lead to communicate with client, deliver completed construction documents, and assist in construction administration as required for most project types.
Designer should utilize education and experience to independently develop, implement, and draft construction documents for most project and/or project type (or at least major portions), as well as, solve medium to difficult design challenges that arise on a project or simple projects.
Designer should be able to apply their knowledge gained through experience and knowledge of recognized national standards to simple projects, with minimal oversight from Healthcare Mechanical Engineer or Healthcare Design Team Lead.

Designer should be familiar with central energy plant equipment including chillers, cooling towers, hot water boilers, steam boilers, pumps, fuel-oil systems, air-handling units, and desiccant units.
Designer should be able to design and draft domestic water, sewer, and natural gas piping systems, including riser diagrams, for small to medium projects. Designer should also be familiar with design of medical gas systems.
Designer should have a basic understanding of Automatic Temperature Controls (ATC) and be able to understand control diagrams and sequences of operation.

* Development of conceptual design and preliminary design documents, which would include calculations related to sizing and selecting these systems, the development of Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.
* Development of final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents associated with these systems. These systems would include chilled water, cooling water, etc.
* Coordination with other disciplines.

Job Overview
The Mechanic Manufacturing II is responsible for repairing and maintaining all assets in the production facility. This position responds promptly to equipment breakdowns and repairs the machinery in a timely manner and performs planned and unscheduled work, as necessary. The Mechanic Manufacturing II also maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results; maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies. This position is also responsible for making design improvements and process changes to improve overall production efficiencies.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
* Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems, using precision measuring, and testing instruments
* Monitors and maintains multiple pieces of equipment by correctly completing assigned PMs, performing corrective maintenance work orders, filling out all paperwork, work orders, parts usage, and order forms
* Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance, and assisting production as needed to keep the line running at top efficiency
* Performs other duties as assigned

Work Hours:
