Summary
Lincoln Electric Automation is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for our Chattanooga, TN location. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will focus on conceptualizing and detailing innovative automation systems including robotic work cells, tooling, and precision positioning equipment. Using advanced 3D CAD platforms (ProE/Creo, SolidWorks - preferred), you'll take ownership of mechanical design from concept through build, testing, and service support. This position involves heavy mechanicalengineering design work to create custom tooling and fixtures.

What You Will Do
Lead the mechanical design of custom automation systems, often managing one (1) complex project at a time.
Develop and document 3D mechanical designs using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
Perform engineering calculations (static and dynamic systems) to ensure mechanical performance and safety.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams-including fabrication, machine build, controls, and project management-throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide technical drawings, mechanical layouts, and detailed part documentation to support production and procurement.
Interact with customers regularly during design and development to ensure alignment with technical requirements and expectations.
Ensure that mechanical designs meet all project specifications, quotations, and purchase order terms.
Take ownership of small-scale projects as Engineering Lead, Designer, and Detailer.
Support Estimating, Sales, Production, and Service departments with technical insight and collaborative problem-solving.
Proactively manage timelines and to meet project schedules in a fast-paced environment (typical duration: 4-8 weeks).
Required Experience & Skills
2+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
Industrial automation or custom equipment development industry experience preferred.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in MechanicalEngineering, Mechanical Design, or related field preferred but not required.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software (ProE/Creo and/or SolidWorks required).
Solid understanding of mechanical principles, fabrication methods, and materials.
Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and robotic system integration is a plus.

We are seeking a Static MechanicalEngineer to join Jafurah Gas Plant Engineering Division (JGPED) within Jafurah Gas Plant Department (JGPD).
Jafurah Gas Plant Department is responsible for Processing Feed gas and producing Sales Gas, Condensate, and C2+NGL.

Minimum requirements
As the successful candidate you will have:
Bachelor's degree in MechanicalEngineering from a recognized and approved program with Static equipment specialty.

Confident with engineering and design principles related to static and piping engineering.

Duties/Responsibilities
General
* Provide assistance to the Project Managers and Project Superintendent as requested to help in overall administration and coordination of the project.
* Acquire good working knowledge of computer systems and all programs used by the company.
* Participate in company Mentoring and Career Development programs.
* Be available to work on weekends when the job requires weekend activity
Field Activities
* Develop an understanding of, and provide assistance in layout and control of the project. Assist in checking to ensure that elevations and dimensions are established and correct and that the layout and control of the project are accurate.
* Take and store jobsite photos and videos as requested by the Superintendent.
* Assist in receiving materials and equipment for the project. Ensure that shipping tickets are accurate and verified. Inspect materials to ensure that they were manufactured in conformance with shop drawings, are in good condition and are in the correct quantity.
* Develop a thorough understanding of jobsite computers and communication systems and provide related assistance to the Superintendent as requested.
* Provide quality control inspections and services as requested by the Superintendent.

* Perform erosion control plan inspections and complete required documentation.
* Observe construction methods and practices to acquire an overall understanding about the approach and progress of the project.
* Assist in documenting, maintaining, and forwarding time sheets as requested by the Superintendent.
* Assist Superintendent with daily logs as requested.
* Assist Superintendent with new hire paperwork and orientations.
* Coordinate and document field testing activities.
