The role at times may require independent work or the need to manage team members assigned to their projects, while ensuring project requirements, schedule, and overall document quality are met. Inter-discipline coordination, BIM clash detection, shop drawing review, and site inspections will be required. The candidate must be a team player and committed to the quality of work generated. - A minimum of 15 years of mechanical, plumbing and utility systems design experience. - Revit MEP experience highly preferred. - A Professional Engineering license, in good standing, is required in a minimum of (1) one state. We are now accepting applications for Summer 2026 internship opportunities in our Tampa studio. What You'll Do: Participate in the development of design ideas based on factors such as appealing appearance, design-function relationships, serviceability, and client specifications. Prepare working drawings from sketches and design specification. Prepare presentations and materials for clients. Participate in project design meetings to experience how multi-disciplinary teams collaborate on project design and delivery. Attend client meetings; visit construction sites on projects. Participate in site surveys to gather field data.     Job Description We are looking for motivated thermal engineers to develop cutting-edge products for our military, governmental, and commercial customers. Systems we design are specifically tuned for the customers' needs and ranges from single-phase pumped loops, vapor compression and other lifting cycles, and radiation thermal management. Our current designs extend the range of hypersonic vehicles, enable power dense laser weapons on small platforms, and lower size, weight, and power for aerospace systems. Components we routinely develop include coldplates for electronics, heat exchangers, thermal energy storage devices, and mechanical components for thermal systems. Our group of thermal engineers drive products from conception to production including product ideation, research, laboratory/prototype builds, experimental testing, and design for manufacture. Individual engineers lead their own projects and research. Your creativity and interest determine the next technology you investigate. We currently use advanced techniques like microchannel cooling, three-dimensional cooling passages through additive manufacturing, membrane enhanced cooling, oscillating heat pipes. This position includes proposal writing for your next idea, analytical calculations, computational simulations (CFD and FEA), laboratory build and testing, and direct customer interfacing.
