You will perform assignments under the direct supervision of one or more licensed mechanical engineers and concentrate on specific design or technical documentation tasks that contribute to overall projects. Assignments will include performing design calculations, preparing reports, and producing deliverable drawing sets including site plans, HVAC plans, piping plans, controls diagrams, details, schematics, and schedules. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists to design and specify project-appropriate mechanical engineering requirements. Coordinates designs with the work of Mechanical Designers. Performs Revit modeling and detailing Assists to conduct site investigations and observations. Assists to prepare narratives, reports, hand and computer calculations, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to project schedule and budget constraints. Assists to perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination. Additional assignments may include attending client and internal meetings, assisting with performing construction contract administration, and assisting with marketing/business development activities. Requirements Must be working towards graduation of ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a mechanical emphasis. Knowledge and proficiency with computer software including REVIT MEP is a preferred. Knowledge and proficiency using load, system sizing, and energy modeling software is a plus. Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills and knowledge of other building systems. Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-discipline team. Active involvement and demonstrated leadership skills in extracurricular activities on campus and in the community is preferred.

    Duration: 3 Months Qualifications: Pursuing Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline from a recognized, accredited university Ability to lead and/or support engineering projects related to productivity improvement, cost savings, capacity expansion or new process development 3D modeling experience preferred (Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, Pro-E) Responsibilities: Job Description This position is responsible for supporting engineering projects and Central Engineering personnel to deliver projects to the manufacturing operation. This individual will assist in developing and implementing improved methods of manufacturing, procedures, and processes that result in improved efficiencies, yields, machine operations, and quality. Comments/Special Instructions Overtime as required. Working on a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or another engineering field is required.
