As an intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers to solve real manufacturing challenges and gain valuable exposure to lean manufacturing, process design, and plant operations. --- Key Responsibilities: · Assist in designing, testing, and implementing mechanical systems and process improvements on the production floor. · Support continuous improvement efforts through time studies, root cause analysis, and efficiency audits. · Participate in the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and tooling to enhance manufacturing performance. · Help maintain and update technical documentation such as process instructions, CAD drawings, and equipment manuals. · Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to identify and resolve operational issues. · Collect and analyze production data to identify trends and recommend improvements. · Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all tasks. --- Qualifications: · Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. · Solid understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals. · Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office tools. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. · Eagerness to learn and contribute to a team-oriented setting. ---VISA SPONSOSHIP NOT AVAILABLE. --- Preferred Qualifications: · Coursework or prior experience in manufacturing processes, industrial engineering, or lean systems. · Familiarity with Six Sigma or lean manufacturing principles. · Hands-on experience with machining, assembly, or fabrication (through labs, projects, or previous internships).
